Here are my week one hundred and forty seven recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Christy Moore - Joxer goes to Stuttgart

If you grew up in Ireland there's one thing for sure and I mean for absolute sure and that is that you know who Christy Moore is. Christy is synonymous with Ireland and sings folk songs and Irish songs and all sorts of songs. However I thought to myself just today that maybe my international friends here on Hive may not necessarily know who Christy Moore. Of course, I'm making an assumption there and some of you may well know who he is or may have met him or maybe related to him, who knows. Funnily enough I am very friendly with someone who is related to him and is his brother Barry's (Luke Bloom) son, but that's another story.

I'm going to share three of Christy's songs with you today. The three songs I'm picking are all story telling songs as there's no better man to tell a story in a song than Christy Moore from Ireland. So here goes the first one, a song written about Ireland's qualification for Euro 88 where we met neighbours England in a famous match in Stuttgart. Who won I hear you asking. Have an auld listen there now and you'll find out.

Christy Moore - Weekend in Amsterdam

This next one is another story telling song from Christy and it's one of my favorites. In fact it's a party piece that I sometimes do after a party or wedding or different social event here in Ireland. It's a song about a few guys who got made redundant from a job and get a big payout and decide what better thing to do than head off and celebrate with their big bags of cash in Amsterdam.

The storytelling here is absolutely fantastic and you can completely imagine a bunch of Irish lads on tour in Amsterdam getting up to these same shenanigans and high jinks!

Christy Moore - Johnny Jump Up

This one is from Christy's younger years and is about a fellow bellow in Cork trying cider for the first time and things getting out of hand fairly lively!

Well I hope you enjoyed the few Irish songs today from Christy Moore and see ye again next week. Same Bat time. Same Bat Channel.

Three Tune Tuesday

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 147th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

To me, it seems not only one of the best, but also most humorous ways for anyone from the Continent to visit Ireland is simply to turn to Christy Moore's stories to acclimatise their ears to what is elsewhere called English. 😊😉

Ha ha, well said. I think a bit of Christy Moore and a few videos of Craic and Ceoil in our pubs would make most continentals fancy a visit to the Emerald Isle ☘️

That was really cool! I love Irish music, I'm a quarter Irish, that's probably why! That was a lot of fun, great picks!

Ah good man, Quarter Irish eh, good man. If you like your Irish music some other recommendations would include Thin Lizzy, The Dubliners, Rory Gallagher, Republic of Loose, Luka Bloom (Christy's brother)

Thin Lizzy is awesome! The others I'll have to check out today!

Ah, not Christy Moore...I've heard him a thousand times before:)
