Here are my week one hundred and forty five recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Junior Brother - Hungover At Mass

So, firstly, this is my 145th week in a row bringing Hive three tunes for Three Tune Tuesday, which is pretty cool and long may it continue, all things being good.

This week, I've decided to stay close to home with the three songs, starting off with Junior Brother singing about something that almost every Irish person has endured at some stage and that is being hungover at mass! Next we have a quality tune captured around thirteen years ago someplace in Australia at an Irish backpackers house, most likely Bondi in Sydney and then we finish it out with a few Irish lads making the best of a bad situation when their flight home was delayed by a few hours.

Right then, let's get this week's tunes flowing and we'll start off with Junior Brother's autobiographical tune about being hungover at mass. I purposefully opted for lesser known Irish artists that most of you will never have heard before.

Random Irish Dude - Seamus just wants to be Famous

This one is gold. Internet gold. I can't believe that it has as few views as it has, as I found it hilarious when I saw it first. Does the humour translate here? Let me know in the comments below.

I'd say they used to have some serious parties with this song blasted out during their months/years in Australia. That whole Australia thing is a bit of a rite of passage here in Ireland, and I did it myself for a year when I was twenty five and the craic was 90. We worked, we travelled, we partied!

DaoiríFarrell, Geoff Kinsella and Robbie Walsh - Galway Girl

Have you ever missed a flight or had a really long delay? How did you feel about it? Pretty damn pissed off I'd say, especially if you're on the way home and you just want to get back home to your bed. You're stuck in an airport waiting area with another two hundred equally pissed off people.

That's the situation that DaoiríFarrell, Geoff Kinsella and Robbie Walsh found themselves in back in 2018, but they refused to give in to the bad buzz and instead as they put it themeselves on Youtube:

"We could tell that everyone was a little bit unhappy about this and Geoff (the banjo player in the video) suggested that we play a bit of the Galway girl, (this song is called The Galway Girl), in a music session. He played a set of traditional irish dance tunes on the banjo and I (Daoiri Farrell) backed him on the Bouzouki. Robbie Walsh (Bodhran Player) then joined us and we had the attention of everyone in the room immediatly.
I then proceeded to sing a song. I picked one that I thought everyone would know, The Galway Girl. It went down really well. By this stage my dad had the Canon out and here is the video footage he took. His name is Desmond Farrell and his hobby is photography."

This comment I read beneath the video summed things up perfectly for me:

The magic of this scenario:

1: The musical talent.
2: the impromptu backup singers in the form of the 3 girls behind the singer.
3: The old man desperately attempting to adopt stoic disapproval ultimately let down by his feet proving the music has taken over.
4: The airport departure lounge setting, with music breaking down the barriers of interpersonal indifference uniting a group of strangers embracing the beauty of music erasing the inconvenience of a delayed flight.

Ultimately, this video is the embodiment of perception dictating the experience of life. A lesson to us all that no matter what life throws at us we can always make the most of it and live a great life!"

Three Tune Tuesday

That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 145th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.

It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

If God can't help you with a hangover, then the devil has certainly found the right mix and dosage 😉🥳.

I didn't know that the Irish and the Australians could get along at all - until now. 🤣

If a single day goes by without a song being sung in the Irish Isles, the whole planet will soon be doomed. 😮

Ha ha, it's right on the money isn't it!! 😝

Hahaha... how funny the man who only moves his feet. It's like I want to, I don't want to. It's true that they were very contagious and it's true that a moment of awkwardness can be transformed into something very nice... and partying!

The Irish are very party people. That's the impression I always get.

Ha ha, yes the man tapping his foot while also looking on seemingly disapprovingly was gas!

Irish outing great foot tapping music to join in with, imagining Aussies in an Irish night outing... Definitely groggy on Sunday morning !LOLZ
