You're pissed. You want to explode. Or implode? Feel free to take your pick. How angry could you be? Are you familiar with that sudden rush where you want to fling the closest thing you can pick up? How do you manage your anger? How do you get that catharsis?

Anger is a foreign topic for me. It's not that I don't get mad at anything or anyone, I just don't know how to channel it out.

By default, I like to take other people's energy by having conversations with them or plain listening. I absorb and I try to make things lighter with some jokes, some hugs, or hand-holding, depending on the person I'm talking to. Providing emotional comfort is one of the things I'm trying to work on because I once was in a state where I had nowhere to get it from.

There were times that I picked up someone else's anger, or it was thrown at me, and I don't know what to do with it. There were times anger was seeping out of me and I don't know how to deal with it.

Throwing it at someone is not healthy. Turning it into physical pain isn't either. For some time, writing and creating art were not options because too many questions get asked. Anger made me feel uneasy and unsafe.

Luckily enough, I found safety in music!

It's a bop that hits home. When I first listened to it, the lyrics didn't register immediately. After some headbanging to its upbeat music, I decided that I want to save it on Spotify. Little did I know that I'd resonate to more than just the beat.

I have found opening up to be a difficult thing lately. Some ask to genuinely know how you are, some ask to find something to talk about with their other peers. Some recoil and feel uneasy about how unusual you feel. It's better to keep people at bay. Keep discussions short.

UPSAHL - People I Don't Like

The introvert in me loves this. The sound of the electric guitar here and UPSAHL's vocals are total ear candy. The song could fit in a movie scene where you're at a college party, where the cool kids are, but you don't like it there. Or, a social gathering where you need to be there so you force yourself to be accommodating.

Sometimes, you have people you don't like to deal with or situations to deal with. But you still do. And it sucks.

On a side note, I love this stripped version she worked on, too! It makes me wish there was an Arc that makes music like this.

Yes. KPop. You may have heard it from Tiktok, or maybe this is not your cup of tea, but BIBI has her way of getting that angry spark out of me. Would you believe that she wrote this song during a tough real-life situation?

Have you ever let a bad scenario happen as if it's not too bad but in the end, you can't stop thinking about it? And once you do, something inside you says that one day, you're going to snap and everyone who wronged you will get it.

If you're up for a challenge or a distraction, try learning the choreography. Coping through dancing, am I right?
