Hola amigos || Hello friends
Ayer me preparé para dar un pequeño giro por la ciudad. A despejar un poco la mente, ver el hermoso atardecer que se crea en mi ciudad y escuchar un poco de música en el carro. Hay una emisora nueva en la ciudad la cual se identifica con solo éxitos. De hecho, así se llama la emisora. En el transcurso del paseo, logré escuchar como unas 15 canciones algunas más viejas que otras. Por ejemplo: Ramones, Jimi Hendri, Deep Purple, AC/DC, U2, The Rolling Stones entres otras grandes bandas que marcaron la historia del rock.
Yesterday I got ready to take a little spin around the city. To clear my mind a little, see the beautiful sunset that is created in my city and listen to some music in the car. There is a new station in town that identifies itself with only hits. In fact, that is the name of the station. In the course of the ride, I managed to listen to about 15 songs, some older than others. For example: Ramones, Jimi Hendri, Deep Purple, AC/DC, U2, The Rolling Stones among other great bands that marked the history of rock.
No soy tan viejo para a ver podido escuchar a esas bandas en pleno desarrollo. Pero tan solo en escuchar sus discos, podía percibir el crecimiento de cada una de ellas. Años que sin duda son parte importante de la historia del rock. La época dorada, el período del rock clásico. Me hubiera fascinado poder escuchar en vivo a Queen, Deep Purple, The Police y bueno, muchas más. Me conformo con a ver podido disfrutar de una de las que fue mi banda favorita, Korn y el mismo día logré escuchar a papa roach.
I'm not old enough to have been able to listen to these bands in full development. But just listening to their albums, I could perceive the growth of each one of them. Years that undoubtedly are an important part of rock history. The golden age, the classic rock period. I would have loved to listen live to Queen, Deep Purple, The Police and many more. I am satisfied with having been able to enjoy one of my favorite bands, Korn, and on the same day I was able to listen to Papa Roach.
Estas bandas, esta música, sin duda la logré apreciar mucho más cuando era adolescente ya que mis gustos musicales se afincaban mucho más a ese estilo de música, el rock ¡Vaya! Recordar esos momentos es estupendamente genial… El liceo, las bandas de rock que se armaban, la comunidad roquera de la ciudad. Momentos, historias, tropiezos, y enseñanzas que hoy valoramos mucho más. Y aquí es donde coloco la frase ¨Recordar es vivir¨
These bands, this music, I certainly appreciated it much more when I was a teenager, since my musical tastes were much more closely related to that style of music, rock... Wow! Remembering those moments is really great... The high school, the rock bands that were formed, the rock community of the city. Moments, stories, stumbles, and teachings that we value much more today. And this is where I place the phrase ¨Recordar es vivir¨ (To remember is to live).
Hoy, luego del paseo de ayer, quiero recordar tres canciones, tres bandas que sin duda recordaremos juntos y de seguro, revivirán momentos de su adolescencia (espero no sean malos recuerdos jajaja…) Quisiera recordar y empezar este top por así decirlo con una banda que por un momento pensé que se había extinto como ha venido pasando y que después de casi 11 años sigue activa con un nuevo material musical que ofrecer. Hablo de la banda de punk rock the offspring.
Today, after yesterday's walk, I want to remember three songs, three bands that we will undoubtedly remember together and for sure, relive moments of your adolescence (I hope they are not bad memories hahaha...) I would like to remember and start this top so to speak with a band that for a moment I thought had become extinct as it has been happening and that after almost 11 years is still active with new musical material to offer. Son muchas las canciones que podemos recordar de esta gran banda: The Kids Aren’t Alright, Behind Your Walls, Can't Get My, Original Prankster la cual fue una canción escuchada por muchos. Sin duda cuando me enteré de su nuevo trabajo no dudo llegar a mí la nostalgia, las emociones. Y a mi parecer, no decepciono con este nuevo trabajo. Siguen llevando esas mismas energías que tuvieron es su principal época dorada. Aunque otros no opinen lo mismo que yo. Pero para eso somos libres y cada quien tiene derecho a sentir la música como apetezca. Vamos a recordar esta gran canción y estupendo video de la banda cuya fecha de lanzamiento fue el 2000 teniendo yo 16 años de edad. Buen momento para disfrutar de esta gran banda.
There are many songs that we can remember from this great band: The Kids Aren't Alright, Behind Your Walls, Can't Get My, Original Prankster which was a song listened to by many. Undoubtedly, when I heard about their new work, nostalgia and emotions came to me. And in my opinion, they do not disappoint with this new work. They continue to carry the same energy they had in their main golden age. Although others do not think the same as me. But for that we are free and everyone has the right to feel the music as they wish. Let's remember this great song and great video of the band whose release date was in 2000 when I was 16 years old. Good time to enjoy this great band.
Otra banda que escuché y recordé mucho en mi paseo fue Green Day. Confesaré que cuando empezó a sonar en la radio, le subí volumen el reproductor del carro. Sonaba Holiday canción perteneciente del disco American Idiot. El cual, me parece uno de los mejores discos que posee la banda. Siendo este uno de los discos más vendidos. De hecho, obtuvieron un Grammy al mejor álbum. Esta fue una de las bandas de rock con la que más me quedé pegado cuando era apenas un adolescente. Sus canciones, su agresividad al hacer música, el ritmo que conducían, eran bases que hacían que me gustara esta banda. Qué tal si recordamos esta gran banda con uno de sus grandes clásicos, Basket Case.
Another band I listened to and remembered a lot on my ride was Green Day. I will confess that when it started to play on the radio, I turned up the volume on the car player. Holiday was playing, a song from the album American Idiot. Which I think is one of the best albums that the band has. Being this one of the best selling albums. In fact, they won a Grammy for best album. This was one of the rock bands that I was most stuck with when I was just a teenager. Their songs, their aggressiveness in making music, the rhythm they drove, were basics that made me like this band. How about remembering this great band with one of their great classics, Basket Case.
Esta banda que recordaremos le cantaba a la vida sin complicaciones con un pop-punk brillante y empalagoso. Otra banda con canciones que recordar como: I Miss You, Stay Together For The Kids, Adam's Song, First Date, y unas cuantas canciones más. Esta podríamos fácilmente considerarla como los reyes en cuanto al pop-punk se refiere. Sin duda dieron mucho de que hablar con sus algunas extrovertidas canciones. Estas bandas que he nombrado hasta ahora, tenía mucho tiempo sin escucharlas y volver hacerlo desde un reproductor desde mi carro, fue emotivo y por supuesto, que las agregue a mi playlist. Que tal si recordamos esta banda con su clásico I Miss You.
This band that we will remember sang to life without complications with bright and cloying pop-punk. Another band with songs to remember like: I Miss You, Stay Together For The Kids, Adam's Song, First Date, and a few more songs. This one could easily be considered the kings of pop-punk. They certainly gave a lot to talk about with their some extroverted songs. These bands that I have named so far, I had a long time without listening to them and to do it again from a player from my car, was emotional and of course, I added them to my playlist. How about remembering this band with their classic "I Miss You"?
I really enjoyed remembering these bands and songs with you. I hope you also enjoyed this little walk through the musical past that surrounds us. And here I hang again that phrase that reflects a lot the feelings that we find because simply to remember,
