Hace mucho que no compartía con ustedes en esta divertida y atractiva iniciativa donde hablamos y compartimos nuestro amor por la música. Arte que nos acompaña por doquier. Antes les había mencionado que en mi niñez y adolescencia disfruté mucho del rock. Un género que sin duda me dio mucha historia que contar. Disfruté y sigo disfrutando muchísimo de este estilo de vida. Creo que todo tiene un propósito en esta vida y si no hubiera conocido a las personas indicadas en mi niñez, capas ni los hubiera conocido a ustedes. Todo se transforma.
It's been a long time since I last shared with you in this fun and attractive initiative where we talk and share our love for music. Art that accompanies us everywhere. Before I had mentioned that in my childhood and adolescence I enjoyed rock music a lot. A genre that undoubtedly gave me a lot of history to tell. I enjoyed and still enjoy this lifestyle very much. I believe that everything has a purpose in this life and if I hadn't met the right people in my childhood, I wouldn't even have met you guys. Everything transforms.
El rock a mi parecer sigue siendo uno de los géneros más importantes todavía hoy, no creo que haya algo nuevo que pueda reemplazar la impresionante historia del Rock. Sí, hoy en día ha sido un poco reemplazado por un género bastante pobre y por estas mismas razones la nueva generación de jóvenes está siendo vulgarmente mal educados con el arte de la música. Veamos, el rock es un género que proviene de la función de varios estilos como por ejemplo, el country, blues, jazz y el mismo gospel. Sin embargo, estos nuevos géneros provienen de dos acordes cuando mucho y sin mencionar la mediocridad de sus letras que no llevan sino un mensaje vulgar y discriminativo a la mujer.
Rock in my opinion is still one of the most important genres even today, I don't think there is anything new that can replace the impressive history of Rock. Yes, today it has been somewhat replaced by a rather poor genre and for these very reasons the new generation of young people is being vulgarly miseducated with the art of music. Let's see, rock is a genre that comes from the function of several styles such as, for example, country, blues, jazz and gospel itself. However, these new genres come from two chords at the most and not to mention the mediocrity of their lyrics that carry nothing but a vulgar and discriminatory message to women.
Si si, de seguro esto lo han leído antes o ya lo he mencionado anteriormente y sin duda seguiremos predicando de alguna forma este fantástico estilo de música tan lleno de vida, libertad y protesta. Por supuesto no todo en la actualidad no puede ser tan malo. Por ejemplo, en el área de la balada o Pop conseguimos artista actuales muy interesante que mantienen de alguna forma el arte con vida. Entre ellos podría mencionar al mismo Álex Cuba, Marwan, Leonel García entre otros. Y aunque nos debíamos bruscamente de dónde empezamos, creo que era necesario mencionar que en la actualidad no todo es tan malo.
Yes yes, I'm sure you've read this before or I've mentioned it before and no doubt we will continue to preach in some way this fantastic style of music so full of life, freedom and protest. Of course not everything nowadays can't be so bad. For example, in the ballad or Pop area we get very interesting current artists that somehow keep the art alive. Among them I could mention Álex Cuba himself, Marwan, Leonel García among others. And even though we were due abruptly from where we started, I think it was necessary to mention that nowadays not everything is so bad.
We go back to where we started, talking about rock which since the 50's began to write its history is like talking about the bible, it is a story that has no end. From the social point of view, it offers to the rebellious youth an interesting escape valve. From its beginnings this new sound and this new way of making music revolutionized the music market and the lives of many. Unlike other genres, rock focuses on the social and even the political. In fact, there were many songs directed to some governments that had to be restricted at the time by the strong expression that art and its lovers took to every corner of the globe.
También hay canciones del género en conversación que hablan de amor, de historias increíbles, de fantasía. Bandas como The Beatles donde la mayoría de sus canciones hablan de amor pero a medida que fueron evolucionando, su arte lo hacía con ellos. Canciones que ilustraban y conectan con ideas más filosóficas. Escuchemos una de mis canciones favoritas de la banda británica y así damos play a esta pequeña lista de canciones.
There are also songs of the genre in conversation that speak of love, of incredible stories, of fantasy. Como mencioné anteriormente, el rock ha sido fuente de protesta por muchos largos años. Desde la década de los 60 hasta la actualidad. Correcto, también hay géneros como el Hip Hop que aportan también en la lucha contra la corrupción y mucho más. Este no es el caso, acá hablamos del rock y en este caso de la canción más incomprendida del gran John Lennon. Esta canción nace en la época más militante de John y su nación. En esta clásica canción Lennon nos regala un mensaje claro de un mundo casi perfecto pues dice que es mejor actuar que prometer, en pocas palabras, llegar a la conceptualización. Escuchemos este himno de paz.

Por un tiempo había algo que no me atraía en particular de esta banda. Hasta que la acepté y empecé a perdonarme por no escuchar el arte tan profundo de La gran Guns N’ Roses. Y hablando de qué el rock es un género bastante controversia, ¿Quién no recuerda Civil War? Como tal esta canción hace un recuento sobra la violencia y guerras. Y es que no solo existe las guerras donde nos enfrentamos a armas poderosas, también estas injusticias que aun después de tantos siglos recorrido seguimos viviendo donde los ricos entierran a los pobres. Cuando la banda da a conocer el álbum Use Your Illusion II donde encontramos esta poderosa expresión musical, Estados Unidos se encontraba en medio de otra de sus guerras, aunque, realmente, esta canción está repleta de referencias históricas. For a while there was something that didn't particularly appeal to me about this band. Until I accepted it and began to forgive myself for not listening to the profound artistry of the great Guns N' Roses. Comparto esa misma idea tuya, de hecho la industria urbana si la considero buena, pero solo a los artistas que hacen algo bueno, porque no todos son malos, pero la gran mayoría si. Todo ese mercado está hecho simple y llanamente para vender pantalla... Y los jóvenes ahora tienen en mente esas cosas banales.
A mí parecer aún pueden rescatarse los valores. Tu y yo somos jóvenes, y aún valoramos la buena música, puede ser que no todos decaemos tan fácil en lo que muchos le gusta, "moda". Cómo dijo una profesora, Si la moda fuera llevar un tovo en la cabeza ustedes lo harían?. 😅😂

La moda en muchísimas ocasiones nos logramos conectar con ella. Por ejemplo, en mi caso, no soporto muchos de estos nuevos géneros urbanos que han salido. Para mí es un insulto ver a niñas bailando o cantando esas canciones sin darse cuenta del insulto personal que ellas misma se generan. Peor aún, ni sus madres le ponen frenos.

I always love rock music! No matter what. Time won't change me.
Because I was born in 90's, my rock music tastes include Evanescence, My Chemical Romance, Creed, Green Day, etc. Can't move on from them...

Wow... My Chemical Romance is really good and I listened to a lot of their music. Evanescent and Amy Lee's amazing voice is something I never forget. We are almost contemporaries 😅
Yessss! Absolutely... They're awesome! I love Welcome to the Black Parade and I Don't Love You. So rare to find the kinda music like them now.
