I like her second album a lot. I think she was the first one to make a successful song with a vocoder effect accapella song. Not this one but this might be a good intro:
I went straight to the "Speak for Yourself" album. A few tracks in now. It may take some time to grow on me, as most music does, but I am not offended by your recommendation yet :)
I have realised, over the basic music theory I have developed (and again, stagnated on) - My favourite progression is "A-D-E", and anything (particularly vocals) using that range I instantly, inexplicably "like more" than other music.
Don't ask me why, it just makes me more "engaged". Is there any explanation for this, or is it just my turbo-autism over thinking?
