Estas últimas semanas han regresado algunas divas del pop con música nueva, tanto latinas como de habla inglesa. En algún momento he seguido su música muy de cerca, así que no es para menos que el algoritmo me recomiende sus lanzamientos recientes. Estas son las que más me han gustado...

Mariah Carey - Type Dangerous

The most unexpected and recent comeback is that of Mariah Carey. I think I was already forgetting that she made music beyond the Christmas genre. The song is great, it's called Type Dangerous, and it's accompanied by a video characteristic of pop divas. Her sound is very similar to what it always was, especially that of her albums from the 2000s. It's danceable R&B, but with the peculiarity of not sounding like her usual self. As you know, she overused her high notes in her youth, but she's still a great performer. You just have to adapt to this new sound and let yourself be carried away by one of the greatest artists we've ever known in the industry.

El regreso más inesperado y más reciente es el de Mariah Carey, creo que ya hasta estaba olvidando que hacía música más allá del género navideño 🤣 la canción es genial, se llama Type Dangerous y lo acompaña con un video característico de las divas pop. Su sonido es muy similar al de siempre, especialmente al de sus álbumes de la década del 2000. Un R&B bailable, pero con la peculiaridad de no sonar a ella misma, como sabrán abusó de sus agudos en la juventud, pero sigue siendo una gran intérprete, solo hay que adaptarse a este nuevo sonido y dejarse llevar por una de las artistas más grandes que hemos conocido en la industria.

2. Kany García, Lia Kali - Huir

I think it's fair to say that Kany García has never really left 😅, but it's been a while since I've liked a song as much as Huir, her new track that I've been obsessed with for about three weeks now. Her style is very calm, and it's a collaboration with an artist I didn't know called Lia Kali. I'm not crazy about the combination of their voices, but the lyrics are heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. There's no doubt that she always gives her best as a songwriter, and it's nice to hear music where the deep lyrics are still the focus, without all the spectacle around them. Huir is that kind of song...

Creo que es justo decir que Kany García nunca se ha ido 😅 pero realmente tenía tiempo que una canción no me gustaba tanto como Huir, su nuevo tema que me tiene obsesionado desde hace unas tres semanas. Su estilo es muy tranquilo y se trata de una colaboración con una artista que no conocía llamada Lia Kali. No me gusta mucho la combinación de sus voces, pero la letra de la canción es desgarradora y a la vez inspiradora, no cabe dudas que siempre da lo mejor de su talento como compositora, y es grato oír música donde las letras profundas siguen siendo las protagonistas, sin tanto espectáculo al rededor. Huir es esa canción...

3. Sabrina Carpenter - Manchild

Manchild is Sabrina Carpenter's comeback song, something we've been waiting for since her successful year in 2024. This girl has been making music and releasing albums for years, but now she seems to be in vogue, and the time has come to find out if she's here to stay or if it was just a passing fad. The song has been out for a couple of weeks now and has done very well so far, with the same upbeat pop sound she's been sharing lately. It's a pleasant song to hang out to, and I think it will be popular for the next few months, so enjoy it.

Manchild es la canción del regreso de Sabrina Carpenter, algo que estábamos esperando desde su exitoso año 2024. Esta chica tiene años haciendo música y sacando álbumes, pero ahora es que parece estar de moda, y ha llegado el momento de descubrir si llegó para quedarse o si solo fue un éxito pasajero. La canción ya tiene un par de semanas y le ha ido muy bien hasta ahora, con el mismo sonido pop alegre que ha venido compartiendo últimamente. Es una canción agradable para pasar el rato y creo que estará de moda por los siguientes meses, así que a disfrutarla.

It's Bésame, the new song by Alejandro Sanz and Shakira, and as a big fan, I'm reminding you about it in case you haven't given it a listen yet. The music is very catchy, with a Latin rhythm that makes you want to dance, very fresh. I hope you like it and that it becomes part of your day, just as it is part of mine. Ya había hablado de esta canción la semana pasada en alguno de mis posts, se trata de Bésame lo nuevo de Alejandro Sanz y Shakira, y como buen fan la recuerdo por si aún no le han dado una oportunidad.
