i think you articulated this very politely, as it would be easy to dismiss these posts in a cruel manner!
i agree and basically always skip over these kinds of posts, as it tends to dilute the community/ quality in my opinion (i know im a weirdo and I'm sure many are not interested in what i post as well). that's not to say there aren't interesting or talented people doing this on hive, but maybe there should be a karaoke community... that is a pretty fun idea, actually! it can be interesting to see different people's renditions or covers of songs...but that is different than karaoke in my opinion! just my 2 cents, thanks for trying to keep the community the way you envision it!
There are many music communities where karaokes are well received. I applaud this and I don't think there is a need to create more specific ones, as I believe that we should rather aim not to divide too much, but rather to add.
What we really want to achieve is to improve the quality level of this community and I know that karaoke itself is not the problem. It's just that it lends itself to many people with no interest in improving their skills wanting to come and take advantage of the economic benefits offered by Hive, damaging the content of the community.
