Ein geiles Werk von Sven von / für Cocoon Club und die weltweite Techno Community, eventuell ein Zeichen, dass. nach / trotz Corona "Feiern" möglich wird - auf jeden Fall hat der Meister wieder eine Studioproduktion am Start.

This Frankfurt guy is a legend, and one of the view pioneers of techno that never stopped to re-einvent themselves - i was not a dedicated fan in his early days i have to admit but I was deep diving in his sounds and concept after a while. I learned his music always was well-thought, a brainy masterpiece in series. He became popular in Germany by some strange chart successes like "Electrica Salsa" where I thought who is this idiot that sings in languages he is not able to control - but even n these "poor" songs his magical mxi skills turned up.
I was surprised later on to see (hey that was the time where no mobile / smartphones and no internet was invented jsut for the record of you young folks) he opend up a music (techno) club in Frankfurt, called The Omen, where he DJed and played Techno music - since I was aware of this I became a frequent, nearly weekly, visitor of his club in Frankfurt.

Oh was hab ich die Raves mit Sven Väth geliebt. Dachte eigentlich er wird irgendwann mit nem Cocktails aus Speed, Ecstasy und Koks enden. Aber er sieht immernoch fit aus.
Ja, oder? Hatte ähnliche Gedanken, aber der Typ hat besser Qualitäten, das einzige was ich weniger gut mag, wenn er anfängt zu "singen" :-)
He he, ja, kann mich noch an das Album "The Harlekin" oder so ähnlich erinnern. Da hat er manchmal irgendwas gesagt oder vielleicht war es auch singen in seiner Vorstellung. Das beste war mal ein Interview in einer Badewanne. Die Frage war wohl: "Was hältst du von Drogen?" Antwort: "Drogen, ne, nur wenn man sie braucht." Gut dass ich mit 20 nicht auf jeden meiner Stars gehört habe.
Aber die Auftritte waren legendär. Hab ihn in Muc im alten Riem (Flughafen damals) und auf der Züricher Energy 1996 hören dürfen. Coole Sache.
Geiler Typ, man muss ja nicht alles mitmachen, was die so sagen - Du wohnst aber nicht in München zufälligerweise?
Neben Väth war ich eben ein Spoon Anhänger, Frankfurter Herkunft Kram, aber als Trance Typ fand ich live immer PvD am allergeilsten, die besten Parties mit ihm erlebt und er schaut immer noch so jung und clean aus :-)

ha! by 1987 I had absolutely zero idea who Sven Vat was. By chance my friend obtained compact cassette which had Silicon Dream album as A-side, and OFF as b-side (OFF = Organization For Fun, Sven's 1st project). We listened to it a lot back in the days then, I was at the primary classes... (and later fall in love with DM). Well, dont throw stone at me, but who remember Silicon Dream hits now? they were good at using languages they were not aware of too! It stayed one of my fave bands thru early 90-es. I am still happy to remember the days, when I suddenly stumble upon their hit. (But, uh, this never happens - they arent popular on Radio.)
