A warm greeting to this beautiful #Music community. I am pleased to share my trumpet interpretation of «Tattooed On My Mind», a neo soul & acid jazz song composed by Simone Eriksrud, Jonny Sjo, and Kim Ofstad, and performed by the Norwegian band D’Sound. The song talks about the persistence of a past love, whose memories remain tattooed in the mind. The piece is likely in F major; in my case, I play it in G major. The harmony is cyclical with extended chords and a relaxing sound. The melody has short, repetitive phrases, and feels like a personal confession. The rhythm is moderate with a steady, syncopated groove. There are people who stay etched in our minds, just like some melodies. It sometimes surprises me that people suffering from dementia can remember songs. The power of music to stay forever.

Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Tattooed On My Mind», una canción de género neo soul & acid jazz compuesta por Simone Eriksrud), Jonny Sjo y Kim Ofstad e interpretado por la banda noruega D’Sound. La canción habla de la persistencia de un amor pasado, cuyos recuerdos permanecen tatuados en la mente. Es probable que la pieza se encuentre en F mayor, en mi caso la interpreto en G mayor. La armonía es cíclica con acordes extendidos y un sonido relajante. La melodía tiene frases cortas y repetitivas, y se siente como una confesión personal. El ritmo es moderado con un groove constante y sincopado. Hay personas que se quedan grabadas en nuestra mente, así como algunas melodías. A veces me sorprende las personas que sufren de demencia, recordar canciones. El poder de la música para quedarse para siempre.

Music is not just art: it is a divine tool that gets etched into our minds and hearts. It makes us remember who we are and where we are going. I love the power it has to connect us with emotions. A few weeks ago I watched a documentary about El Divo de Juárez, Juan Gabriel. For several days I have been reminiscing about his songs, and I find it incredible the way he connected with the audience. Above all, his songs reflected feelings and human experiences. It's impossible not to feel empathy for his lyrics and his heart-wrenching performances. Many of those songs were listened to by my parents, and they accompanied me during my childhood. Today, they have a different effect on my life. At that time, I did not fully perceive their meaning, but now that I am an adult and know the context of his work, they gain more interest and experience. I sincerely hope you enjoy my performance. La música no es solo arte: es una herramienta divina que se queda tatuada en nuestra mente y en nuestro corazón. Nos hace recordar quiénes somos y hacia dónde vamos. Me encanta el poder que ella tiene para conectarnos con emociones. Hace unas semanas observe un documental de el Divo de Juárez, Juan Gabriel. Tengo varios días rememorando sus canciones y me parece increíble la manera en que conectaba con el público. Sobre todo sus canciones reflejaban sentimientos, y experiencias humanas. Imposible no sentirse empático por sus letras y por sus interpretaciones desgarradoras. Muchas de esas canciones las escuchaban mis padres, y me acompañaron durante la niñez. Hoy día tienen un efecto diferente en mi vida. En ese tiempo no percibía ampliamente su significado, pero ahora que soy adulto y conozco el contexto de su obra, cobra mayor interés y experiencia. Espero de corazón que disfruten de mi interpretación. Bendiciones.
