Pale Assassin - Basalt Keep of Wilven the Yellow Art

Here's my latest piece for the Basalt Keep adventure. I'm slowly making progress but had a design breakthrough over the last few days so that is promising. It changes the scope a little of what I had originally envisaged but not a lot. There will be a few factions at play that canny players can navigate through and play them off against each other. The break through came when trying to determine some motivations and triggers for the main plot involving Wilven the Yellow. While massively influenced by Robert W. Chamber's collection of short stories known as the King in Yellow, other influences are H.G. Wells Island of Dr. Moreau, Sheridan Le Fanu's Carmilla, and Hommer's Oddesy. I am pretty excited about these influences and how they play off each other. Anyway, here's a look at one of Wilven's pale assassins that is one of the adversaries encountered in the adventure.
