Yeah, I agree. I'll eat Nutella, but only by itself.

I had to look up 'white elephant'... I never heard of it but I like the concept and there's a lot of logic behind it.

Even if the person doesn't like the consumable gift like chocolate or maybe it's wine or whatever, they can always put it out and offer it to guests when they visit.
