Kiss 119: Healthier Lifestyle And Fitness Became My Priority.

[After My Fitness Living]

When we think 💭 we know everything in life we are only deceiving ourselves especially in a world 🌎 where we listen to others or try to think of what people will say or think about us. This is one notion that have kept so many in the dark up until now including myself before I took a full charge of my lifestyle.

Although I started practicing minimalism early in life without the knowledge of how broad it appears and involved. Because at this early stage of practice my mind was channeled only on how practical and simple minimalism is which I went on to adapt to just by tying to cultivate the habit of creating space, decluttering, giving things I feel I don’t have need for and most of all buying and spending on things I know will last longer for me thereby saving me money since most of them will not fail into fashion trending wears that will phase off so easily. This I called then # “quality over quantity”, because I can use my Gucci bag 💼 over and over, matching it with other accessories to bring out the styling tips. I felt so good having few but with quality I trusted.

I was also practicing how to buy things in bulk like food 🥘 stocks, this I learnt from my sister who taught me of how buying in bulk cut cost so much because the larger the quantity, the lower the cost 💲. Unlike when we buy in single that cost almost twice the price when compared to bulk prices. This indeed helped me so much to save money - called # “buying more for less”.

WHAT I WISHED I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN:


[Earlier Days]

While I was practicing my minimalistliving I never considered how healthy I was living then because eating for good health is not just buying in bulks or saving enough money 💰. Eating for good health entails and involves what we eat, how we eat, how we feel with ourselves and the look 👀 we present that is of good health. All these were not in my priority because I never deem it necessary. And especially when you are in mist of friends who love to eat and with an always a weekend get-together, I was enjoying myself.


[Earlier Days]

But I began to realize with time that my looks was not the best I wanted for myself because I was not paying attention to what I eat. Then I love to eat lots of fries 🍟, especially fried egg 🍳 sauce , chicken 🍗. I can go for little spoons of rice 🍚 but we love more fried chicken. And I love to eat bread 🍞 which must be with egg 🍳 sauce too, not minding if its whole wheat 🌾 or white flour. It became a concern to me since I was adding so much weight. What can I do was my next thoughts 💭 immediately I started disliking how I look 👀.

THE NEXT STEPS TO PRACTICING:

It was at this point I asked myself a question that I needed to answer myself. “Are you really practicing minimalism fully”? “Why are you eating the way you eat because others are eating”? “How do I get out of this habit as a minimalist “? But you need to stop yourself now a mind inside me told me. You need a new you to satisfy yourself of the look 👀 you want. And you need to start right now.

And I could not believe myself because the next morning I was in my tracks set to hit the road for a walk. And all through the week and into the month. I started to cut down my meals, making them more of vegetables 🥗 and fruits 🍉🍌🍎 for late dinner. I started taking black tea ☕️ first thing in the morning, and my love for Lipton tea 🍵 grew, smoothies for brunch.


[After I started fitness]

I became more aware of how simple living is not just decluttering, making spaces. , trying to save cost 💲 and others. But of how important it is to keep healthy even healthier with lots of fitness incorporation. The exercise became more frequent and I saw 👀 myself coming into agreement with my look 👀.

Sometimes we don’t see things like this as path of our minimalist journey because some people may want to be on a bigger side while others who wants to look slim will think 💭 of what people will say. But I tell you my choice was the best at that point in time because I might have loose my mind as someone who wants to remain the way I am now for good health.

We all have our choices to make friends.
