Hello, photography lovers! Today I bring you chapter 11 with several photographic exercises that I did on the site 52frames during 2021, my second year there. I hope you find them interesting!

Week 13, 2021: Slow shutter / Baja velocidad
This breakwater is one of my favorite places to shoot long exposures, especially when the sea is as calm as you can see, with the plus of not even a slice of clouds in this beautiful Caribbean morning. A 10 stop ND filter did the magic.
Esta barrera rompeolas es uno de mis lugares favoritos para tomar exposiciones largas, especialmente cuando el mar está tan tranquilo como se puede ver, con la ventaja de que no hay ni una pizca de nubes en esta hermosa mañana caribeña. Un filtro ND de 10 pasos hizo la magia.
Week 14, 2021: Fast shutter / Alta velocidad
Fast shutter? No problem...low ISO...no.
My friend the hummingbird (also called "Cuban emerald") loves to appear in our backyard when the flowers are completely in the shadows cast by our neighbor's two-story house, so I'm always capturing his kind by 1000 ISO, even having my photos 2 stops underexposed when I set the camera to 1/1000s.
A hummingbird stops on a single flower for a second or less, that's the gigantic task I have every time I want to capture one of them.
¿Obturador rápido? No hay problema... ISO bajo... no.
A mi amigo el colibrí (también llamado "Cuban emerald") le encanta aparecer en nuestro patio trasero cuando las flores están completamente bajo las sombras proyectadas por la casa de dos pisos de nuestro vecino, así que siempre estoy capturando a los de su especie a 1000 ISO, incluso tener mis fotos 2 pasos subexpuestas cuando configuro la cámara en 1/1000s.
Un colibrí se detiene en una sola flor por un segundo o menos, esa es la gigantesca tarea que tengo cada vez que quiero capturar uno de ellos.
Week 15, 2021: Trapped / Atrapada
My daughter asked about the novel The Man in the Iron Mask after watching the movie of the same name. So we got it for her and I asked her to pose for me doing what most kids do when their parents turn off the lights... which is continue reading under the covers. In a way, she is trapped in the novel and I am glad for that.
Mi hija preguntó por la novela El hombre en la máscara de hierro después de ver la película homónima. Así que se lo conseguimos y le pedí que posara para mí haciendo lo que hacen la mayoría de los niños pequeños cuando sus padres apagan las luces... que es seguir leyendo debajo de las sábanas. De alguna manera, ella está atrapada en la novela y yo me alegro por ello.
Week 16, 2021: Edited by someone else / Editada por alguien más
This succulent flower blooms once a year and its flower only lasts a few hours. I took the corresponding photo and my daughter applied a predetermined range of colors to accomplish the task and to get rid of me as quickly as possible. Youth!
Esta flor de suculenta florece una vez al año y su flor apenas dura algunas horas. Hice la foto correspondiente y mi hija aplicó una gama de colores predeterminada para cumplir conmigo lo más rápido posible. La juventud!
Week 17, 2021: Nature / Naturaleza
I went to Cojímar early this morning to watch birds and photograph seascapes. This gray heron was watching me in the distance, lucky I brought my 600mm lens
Fui a Cojímar temprano esta mañana para observar aves y fotografiar paisajes marinos. Esta garza real me observaba en la distancia, suerte que llevé mi lente de 600mm
Week 18, 2021: Fabric / Tela
Just a crystal ball hanging from a black cloth attached with clothespins to wires in my backyard. I flipped the image and now it looks like a being from another world.
Solo una bola de cristal colgada de una tela negra sujeta con palitos de tender a cables en mi patio trasero. Volteé la imagen y ahora parece un ser de otro mundo.
Some photos correspond better than others to each challenge posed...I will embrace imperfection!
Algunas fotos corresponden mejor que otras a cada reto planteado...abrazaré la imperfección!

It's a very tricky bird to catch mid-air, but with lots of practice it pays a lot the effort!
