My blog is mutating more and more into a mushroom blog. I know. But it really is an exceptionally good mushroom year for the Tauberfranken region where I live. Normally it's extremely dry here. This year it's raining again and again - and above all it's raining a lot. However, the green-cracked russula can be found every year, even in midsummer. This mushroom is not only one of the edible mushrooms, but in my opinion also one of the most beautiful mushrooms to look at.

mein Blog mutiert immer mehr zu einem Pilzblog. Ich weiß. Aber es ist wirklich ein außergewöhnlich gutes Pilzjahr für die Region Tauberfranken, in der ich lebe. Normalerweise ist es bei uns extrem trocken. Dieses Jahr regnet es immer wieder - und v.a. auch reichlich. Den Grüngefelderten Täubling findet man allerdings jedes Jahr auch im Hochsommer. Diese Pilz zählt nicht nur zu den Speisepilzen, sondern meiner Meinung nach auch zu den sehr schön anzusehenden Pilzen.

Das Exemplar des Grüngefelderten Täublings auf dem oberen Bild ist schon sehr alt und nichts mehr für die Pfanne.
I usually do my mushroom tours on my bike. I go up the mountain on my ebike. The landscape in the July evening sun is so beautiful, isn't it?

Meine Pilztouren absolviere ich meist auf dem Fahrrad. Mit dem ebike geht es auf die Höhe. Die Landschaft im der Juli Abendsonne ist wunderschön.

It should be a record-breaking year for the chanterelles. And every two days I have a delicious meal. Chanterelles on schnitzel..... Delicious.... ;-)

Für die Pfifferlinge dürfte es ein rekordverdächtiges Jahr sein. Und alle zwei Tage habe ich eine herrliche Mahlzeit. Pfifferlinge auf Schnitzel.....Lecker.... ;-)
I don't collect the gray spotted amanita, as it is easily confused with the potentially deadly poisonous panther cap. However, I am pretty sure that I have photographed a specimen of the gray spotted amanita here _.

Den grauen Wulstling sammle ich nicht, da er leicht mit dem potentiell tödlich giftigen Pantherpilz zu verwechseln ist. Ich bin aber ziemlich sicher, hier ein Exemplar des Grauen Wulstlings abgelichtet zu haben.
The false death cap belongs to the same mushroom family. This mushroom is poisonous and can be found quite frequently.

Der gelbe Wulstling gehört zur gleichen Pilzfamilie. Dieser Pilz ist giftig und recht häufig zu finden.
We spent the hottest day of the year in Hesse. We were also invited to a wedding there. The ceremony was very beautiful, but also extremely exhausting as it was very hot. I would almost have preferred to jump into the lake instead of attending the ceremony in a suit. No, it was a beautiful wedding despite the heat ;-)

Den heißesten Tag es Jahres habe wir in Hessen verbracht. Dort waren wir auch einer Hochzeit eingeladen. Die Feierlichkeiten war sehr schön, aber auch extrem anstrengend, da es sehr heiß war. Ich wäre fast lieber in den See gesprungen, statt im Anzug der Trauung beizuwohnen. Nein, es war trotz der Hitze eine schöne Hochzeit. ;-)

It's impressive to see how well you know mushroom species. I think it is vital to know them in a place with so many mushrooms.
The scenery is beautiful where you walk and pick the mushrooms. I like chanterelles too because I live in a big city and I have to buy them from the supermarket. I've never eaten them as a garnish for schnitzel, so thanks for the suggestion. I wish you a pleasant, beautiful summer (with less rain I would say, but I don't know if that's what you want!)
Unfortunately, you never know how old the mushrooms from the supermarket are. Chanterelles go perfectly with schnitzel ;-)
My father taught me the basics of mushroom picking. I am constantly trying to educate myself further. My knowledge is probably already above average. But compared to a professional mushroom expert, I know absolutely nothing ;-)
You are right. You can't compare the taste of a freshly picked mushroom with the ones in the supermarket. We can't be experts in everything, I, for example, am not an expert in anything... and I don't mind. If you know mushrooms well and can eat them without worry I think that's enough. I know 2-3 mushrooms and if I had to go mushroom picking, I would ignore all the others.
