Two days ago I photographed Harapan Bangsa Stadium afte rained in Banda Aceh City, Indonesia. I got there when the rain had just stopped and the sky was starting to clear again. However, I was excited to photograph the stadium which looks beautiful after being soaked in the rain.

I started looking for the best location to shoot the stadium against the blue sky. After walking around about 10 minutes, I found a small puddle reflecting a beautiful view of the stadium.

When shooting stadiums, I notice the reflections on the surface of the water which create a beautiful effect and add a new dimension to the photo. I used a wide-angle lens to capture the whole scene and give the photo more detail.

I take multiple photos from different angles and adjust the camera settings to produce different shots, but I choosed this angle. When I saw the photos on my laptop, I was very happy with the results. A wet stadium after rain gives it a dramatic and unique look, with the reflections of the water amplifying the effect.

In my experience, photographing stadiums after rains can result in stunning and different photos than what you're used to. However, it is important to always pay attention to safety when shooting and not endanger yourself or others.
