A cactus reaching up to the sky.
Rusty chains hanging heavy.
A metal cross outlined by soft clouds.
A feather tangled in dry branches.
A pair of doll’s legs frozen mid-movement.
Power lines cutting through a bright, overexposed sky.
They weren’t asking to be seen, but they stayed with me.
Just moments, shapes, and shadows that spoke quietly and clearly.
