The Orchid Flowers in Color and Monochrome

Hello, my friends, photography lovers.

I am glad to share my pictures with you again. We have a houseplant orchid growing at home. A very capricious plant. As far as I remember it, it constantly demands attention.

Planting it in a pot alone is a great show. We need to buy a bunch of all sorts of different types of soil. Then distribute all this in layers in a pot in a certain order. And the pot should be unusual, but transparent.

And then the orchid needs to be watered in a special way. More precisely, do not water, but pour running water, take a shower.

In general, it takes a lot of time.

But when it starts to bloom, it's just a miracle!

That's when I take out my smartphone, turn on the macro mode and immerse myself in the world of orchids.
It is a very exciting activity to photograph orchids. It is best to do this on a sunny day in natural light.

The sun's rays convey the most intense shades of flowers. With electric lighting, I could not achieve such bright, saturated colors.

I admire the thin long tentacles growing from the middle of the flower the most.

In macro photography, this element makes a real living being out of a flower. He somehow begins to resemble a butterfly or some kind of exotic insect.

And even if you remove the color completely, the flowers still remain beautiful due to their structure and shape.

The play of light and shadow creates a favorable contrast of the image. And the black and white photos of the orchid are admirable.

The main thing is to set the lighting well during the shooting. Or successfully place the flower itself in relation to the sun.

I'm shooting on a wide sunny windowsill that faces the south side of the house. There is always a lot of sun and great light.

So, despite such troublesome moments in the maintenance of orchids, they will definitely thank you for the attention shown to them. Their beauty will be a thank you!
