First Visit To Cadwell This Year

Race to the top

As most of my friends and followers know, one of my favourite places is Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire. The thrills, the noise, the smell all help to make this a special place for me to shoot.

Full throttle

These shots are from my first trip out there this year. Slightly different to other trips as I met up with my daughter and her family. Her stepson has developed an interest in photography(excuse the pun).

Crowding a tight bend

I didn't take that many shots as I was helping and watching his eyes light up and the big smile of excitement as he was taking pictures as the bikes came racing round. I'm not one of those photographers who puts down or snubs other photographers, I would rather support them with what little knowledge I have. So I took no small pleasure in seeing this young man get so excited about photographing some motorsports so enthusiastically.

Inching ahead

I ended up taking around 150 shots (I do try to limit how many shots I take these days) and the young lad took over 1700. As you can imagine, we spent quite a while going through all of his shots when we got back to their house.

Out in front

I'm really happy to say he got a few cracking shots. I was pretty impressed with the number of decent images he actually got. He now wants to go back to Cadwell when there is a car track day.

Cadwell Park

I don't often shoot cars at Cadwell so that will be something to look forward to in a few weeks.
