The Northern districts of Kerala in India namely Kannur & Kasaragod is having the annual rituals at numerous houses and small worship places for local deities.
In this series, I have "Kandanar Kelan" deity and its Theyyam which is probably most popular these days.
The ritual dance performance includes a fire pit and moves around and into-the -fire.
The first three photos shows the ritualistic movements around the fire pit.
The performer is seen as God and the worshippers asks for blessings from him.
Tech info: The first three shots are taken with a 24-70mm 2.8f & last two with 85mm 1.8f using a Nikon Z9 at varying ISOs and shutter speeds.
