They were consistently oriented in a specific direction, thus promoting smoother movements. At times, these locations also held particular significance, serving as sites for noteworthy events (battles, accidents, sacred places) or functioning as true compasses guiding movements. It is noteworthy that the density of these crosses varies from one region to another.

It is entirely natural to feel fascinated by the trees lining the roads. Perhaps the appeal lies in the visually charming aspect of these trees, sometimes aligned in an anarchic manner along the roads. The symmetry or asymmetry of these alignments may evoke a particular aesthetic, creating a captivating visual harmony. The connection with nature and the landscape may also contribute to this fascination, offering a sense of tranquility and organic beauty. The thistle pricks, but with a sunset, it's even more beautiful! It was formerly used for carding wool. I admit that the poor individuals who handled the thistles must have had quite battered hands.

I realize that I have shared many poignant images, whether in form or conception. Barbed wire is a part of it, but a sunset concealed behind dry grass and barbed wire always retains its beauty.

The ivy climbing on the tree takes its time but always manages to reach the top. For me, trees are somewhat the memory keepers of the places they grow. Many things may change, but they always remain rooted in the same spot.
