Hey everyone!
As some of you know, I did a long (5+ week) trip to Spain this past summer. I have absolute mountains of footage from it, which I procrastinated editing for a couple of months (lol) but have recently gotten really inspired to work on.
I finally finished my first vlog of our first day in Barcelona and will be premiering it on YouTube next Friday. The link is embedded at the bottom of this post, would love it if you join me and I think you'll enjoy traveling with me vicariously!
In any case, the images in this post are screenshots from drone and iPhone footage I got near this really cool skatepark in Barcelona which was surrounded by graffiti murals. It's one of 3 epic locations that I managed to film with my DJI Mini 2 drone on the first day (the others were Port Vell and the Barcelona beach!)
One thing I quite enjoy about taking video footage is that individual frames can be captured and treated as photos in editing. I color graded the footage in Final Cut Pro and further edited these images in Adobe Lightroom. I do prefer taller images as opposed to 16:9 aspect ratio for still images, however, I think they are worth sharing nonetheless!
I'll post some more shots from this excursion in the near future. By the way, in case you didn't know, the guy in the green shirt and the goofy adventuring hat below is me — and the one with glasses is my good friend @ethanaphex, who traveled with me.

Barcelona is so beautiful, been there on May for the 3rd time hehe!
Parall'el, the skatepark you've been is one of my go to places when I'm at the city! Very urban spot, art is awesome and local skaters are so cool, always enjoy sessions with them!

Nice!! Yeah I loved that area of town, we stayed at a hostel called the Pars Teatro close by. It was pricey to stay there because Primavera music festival was going on lol.
The most amazing thing about Barcelona for me is it's the first European city I've ever visited, so I was completely mindblown about how different all the architecture was compared to what I'm used to in the states. A very nice first impression indeed!
After this I did the Camino Frances de Santiago from Pamplona (skipping the French portion) and eventually ended up back in Barcelona.

When I hear the word Barcelona, my mind immediately goes to ice skating. The city is beautiful and the people are very friendly. There is so much history here, it’s hard not to be fascinated by it all
