Up The Great Orme!

Over the past week, I spent some time in Wales, a part of the UK where I've only been about 3-4 times in my lifetime, although I do plan on changing that now.

As we got to Wales on our journey down, we were a bit early, so we decided to visit Llandudno and go up the Great Orme, a mountain that has a tramway running up it.

Now, I don't know what it is, but I do love trams, so I don't need any excuses to travel on one, I have no idea why I am so interested in them, there's a tramway museum in Derbyshire and I love to go and ride on the old trams.

This tramway is different to any others I have been on as this one doesn't go up the mountain with electric cables, it's actually pulled up by a cable that runs in the road, one thing I didn't expect until it happened was that you had to swap over half way up the Orme to get to the top.

The Great Orme is full of history with caves and mines, as well as great views from the top, there is also a cablecar that you can get up, I was gonna do this on the way down, even though I'd got a return ticket on the tram, however prices were £13.50 one way or £14.00 for a return trip, which I thought was a bit extortionate for a one way trip, so I went back down on the tram.

I went to Llandudno when I was a kid, only for a day trip and don't remember much about it, but I certainly want to go back and explore, Wales certainly needs more exploring and photography.

I didn't take my camera on this journey on the tram as it was pretty busy, so all pictures was shot on my Samsung S21 5G.
