A River Runs through It

A river runs through it — runs through the Nipika mountain resort area that is. This river is known as the Cross river. A river which eventually merges with the Kootenay river. Which in turn, merges with the Columbia river. Which in turn, merges with the Pacific Ocean, somewhere in Oregon. Hiking without a river nearby is like hiking without proper gear; it just wouldn’t feel right! I love a great looking river, how about you? Thanks for stopping by.

That is a pretty river, I love the water color. I love the sound of water running down a river, it's part of that hiking experience just like the smell of the pine trees. What a great place to get out and enjoy nature!

I hope you haven't encountered any bears this year!

It just adds to the ambiance of nature.

So far no bear encounters, only a close call with an elk sprinting across the highway!!

The surrounding area looks beautiful too. I like being near large bodies of water, whether still ones or those that a running, it makes me more calm and be able to reflect :)

No doubt. Especially if you have grown up near the water I bet.

Yes, I used to frequent the beach when I was much younger. Only a few miles away from where I was living. I still kind of live near the beach but at a different location, somehow find it hard to walk down there to catch the sunset, life gets in the way :/

Yeah, understandable.

It's just amazing, the sound of a river flowing while hiking. It makes the whole experience so much more peaceful and in the enda relaxing time from normal work life

Such a beautiful sound -- the sound of a flowing river. Thanks for looking.

You're welcome 🥰🥰

I completely agree with you, my friend. A hike without a river feels like something's missing. Especially when you find a beautiful river like this, it feels so much more enjoyable, and the journey certainly feels more refreshing.

No rivers or water, no life right!

Walking along the river is truly a different pleasure.

A pleasant addition to any hike.

It doesn't look like a river. It's more like a narrow canal. A monkey can jump and cross it :D

Nice photographs by the way!

A narrow river I'd say, or a larger stream, something like that.

Su color natural es todo una belleza pero ese blanco y negro le da la elegancia qué necesita.

beautiful place

One of my favs.

Es tan hermoso todo allí 🥰🙏🏻
