I’ve done a lot of hiking in my day, climbed a lot of mountains, hiked a number of trails, but this view from the “Bear Hump” summit is one of the most awesome views of all! This is Waterton Lake, ones of Canada’s or I should say the Canadian Rockies deepest lakes. It is approximately 185 metres or 500 feet deep in spots. One other interesting fact about this lake, is that one third of it is located south of the border. Waterton National Park in Canada, and Glacier Park in the US. From what I have heard, Glacier Park has much more for hiking enthusiasts than Waterton. Guess where I plan on going someday? Have you been to either park? Thanks for stopping by.

The view in the first picture is very stunning. This squirrel also caught my attention, the combination of fur is very beautiful.

Glacier National Park is beautiful, well worth the trip! Those are some nice shots of the lake, gorgeous. You even found a cute chipmunk to pose for you. Soon all that snow will melt away and time for some more hiking!

I don't know that lakes can be that deep. It looks quite shallow from the views and the picture.

This is one of the deepest for sure, although I would not have guessed that, based on it's appearance. Always a bonus to have a little squirrel pop up out of nowhere!

Good question. Glacier park I think will be more exciting from what I have heard!
The lake was beautifully captured.Honestly, It is like choosing between chocolate and vanilla I love them both. I prefer the black and white. It looks artistic. But the colored version is also beautiful. It captures the atmosphere perfectly.
