Part of any good hike is hitting the trails. The view from up top or the final destination is the highlight, but arguably, the trails leading up to the endpoint is where most of the fun lies. You know what they say: “It’s the journey, not the destination that counts”. As you can see in the first photo, it is not unusual to encounter a leaning or fallen tree. Sometimes one even has to choose to hop over or go under the “obstruction”. Or simply walk around if possible. Onward and upward. Don’t forget to enjoy your journey. Thanks for stopping by.

What a pretty trial, I love walking among the pines. Fortunately it was a small obstruction to the path and not a huge tree! For me, it's the tall trees shouldering the trail path that really amazes me. I'd probably be looking more upwards than focusing on path itself. That also does counts as enjoying the journey, doesn't it :)
