Lookie here, another friendly squirrel jumping around just by the hiking trail. It is amazing to watch these little critters move around trees and branches — they are super quick on their feet, and it seems they never fall either. At least I have never seen one fall, have you? On this particular outing there were several squirrels and birds out and about. I never was able to get close enough to get any decent bird shots, but this squirrel was being cooperative for the camera. Well enough of the squirrel photography, got to get a move on and finish this hike before its get dark! Thanks for stopping by.

That's a good angle and clear picture of a healthy squirrel. Sorry to tell but when it comes to squirrel, they are a good source of protein. Back in the day, I engage with a small game. It's meat taste like a lamb meat, bit rubbery but tasty. Fried squirrel is my favorite. For more humane approach, shot in the head is recommended, for them not to suffer more. Instant death upon impact.

Is it common to eat squirrel in the Philippines? Doesn't seem like there would be much meat to fill one up.

There is place where here in the Philippines were eating rodent family is there main source of protein. Due to this activity, squirrel almost extinct. However, the rat population remains.

the little bastards are coming into my garden a family of four from the bordering woodland, and digging up my daffodil bulbs!

They certainly can by little tyrants, I've heard.

YUP!!!!!!!

Nice photo graphs, I have never seen a squirrel fall in Autumn

Haha, being in Canada l always see them;) l haven't seen them fall, only jumping down but that doesn't classify as falling right?

Thank you for sharing, have a great weekend.

Never seen one fall yet...have a good weekend.

I their their feets are adapted to actually holding on to trees and adapted to always climbing, and they're fast too. Looks like the squirrel is the main population of animal in these hike area

They are amazingly fast, so interesting to observe.

I saw squirrels all the time on TV. In reality, I have not seen it up close. It should look salty. In the heart of this beautiful nature, you have depicted perfectly

Never seen one in real life? Where abouts do you live? Thanks for the comment.

I live in Iran.

Someday need to visit there.

Squirrels are always so cute, too bad in the city it's almost impossible to find one

They seem to flourish more in the forests for sure.

Squirrels are one of the cutest creatures in the world, they always act silly and that makes us entertained.

Exactly. It is super fun to observe these guys just jumping around, and looking for food.

Those little red squirrels are fun to watch! We have Grey squirrels here and I once saw one fall off a tree branch into the river right in front of my canoe! They are good swimmers when they need to be.

Cute little guys right!

Man I don’t know how you manage to capture the contrast so well that the black and white shots seem to have colour.

With the third winter upon us, I am really looking forward to a little more green in the trees along the trail

Had enough of that white stuff, good riddance.

What a beautiful winter on the tress, while that squirrel is enjoying the winter view. As always i love the black and white more

Still fall in these photos, taken last October. Thanks, glad you appreciate the black and whites.

Its neat oh and you most welcome 😊

I hope you have a nice day, as usual the pictures you share are always interesting to look at♥️

Good job!
Exquisite journey to which you transport us with magnificently achieved images.
Thank you!

Glad you like it.

I love red squirrels they are such characters, unfortunately we have only mostly got greys in the UK. The reds are confined to a few sanctuaries.

Interesting, grey skies, grey squirrels in the UK!
