Flowers and the rain...

Hi everyone, welcome to my new profile, my original profile is @darrenflinders however I am starting afresh and this is my new post, please feel free to follow me and I will also gladly follow back.

So if you have seen my old profile, you will know I do love a good bit of macro photography, and now that the weather is changing (slowly), I thought I'd share some shots that I did a few week or so ago.

The weather hasn't been too good so far, it seem like we are getting storm after storm, and yes, I shot these between rain storms lol. I do love the look of raindrops on flowers, they really do add to the shot and I love to see them.

I have to admit there was more wildlife that I had anticipated when shooting these shots, especially after the rain, I thought they would all be in their homes keeping dry.

As I was putting on my Raynox 250 filter, I saw this creature struggling in a bucket of water, it had fallen in and was drowning, I got it out and put it on my lens cleaning cloth to help it dry out, the fly was dazed but alive, not matter what creature it is, I really do have a philosophy that every creature has as much right as us to be here, I do think there's only one dangerous animal and that is us. Sorry don't want to get too deep with this.

The fly was there for a good ten minutes, I gently blew on it to help it dry, it turned around and looked at me and was signalling me with it's front legs, waving them at me.
I put my finger in front of the fly and it walked on to my hand, looking at me again, waving it's front legs as if to say thank you, it stayed there for about another 30 seconds and then flew off.
Animals are much cleverer than we give them credit for.

I do love the colours and the waterdrops on these images, and I really hope you've enjoyed this post.

Thanks for reading,
All the best :-)

Yes I did enjoy the post and I love the precision on your photos. The raindrops were beautiful and about animals and insects, it’s just ignorance and creating more awareness on the importance of this creatures in the world.

the microcosms of macrophotography never cease to amaze me.
some great photos you took there. mysterious little creatures huh?

So nice to see macro photography
