Getting out of the seedling stage

Been a long road so far

The past two months have been pretty frustrating when it comes to my grow. But even though I have had such a hard time with the seedling stage and getting back into growing cannabis, I have been doing a lot of learning in the process and now my plants are leaving the seedling stage and are progressing into the vegetative stage where they will spread out and get the strength needed for a good flowering stage.

My OG Kush is about a week or so behind the others and still in the last part of the seedling stage. It wont take her long to catch up to the others.

The stems on the Northern Lights and the Granddaddy Purple are beginning to thicken up and get stronger. They are going to need some thick stalks because I am hoping to get quite a bit from this grow.

I can't wait for those new branches to get longer so I can begin bending and training them. Bending branches is one of my favorite parts of growing because I get to manipulate them in ways that move the branches into optimum positioning and it also strengthens the branches and forces nutrients into them.

I don't plan on doing much training to the Northern Lights though. I usually cut the main stem when it gets a certain height, but since this is an autoflower, I am going to see how it does with just normal bending and pruning and not stress it out so much by chopping the stem. I have usually chopped my autos, but I want to see if there is even any benefit to doing that to an autoflower since they don't have the time needed to recover after it.

The OG Kush is quite tall compared to the others. That is because the Northern Lights and GDP were pretty stressed out in the early stage and I had the light way too close, which made them stay pretty short. It will be cool with my next grow to see how they do when I have the light set at the correct position from the very beginning.

The GDP is quite a bit shorter, but it wont take her long to really fatten up and spread out. GDP is more of a sativa than the OG Kush, so that could also be another reason why it is so much shorter.

The Northern Lights will stay shorter than both of the others because it is an autoflower and an indica dominant strain. I am super excited for this one because it has been a couple years since I have grown any Northern Lights. It was one of the first strains that I grew and I fell in love with it.

Pretty soon, these plants are going to be competing for room in this tent as they spread out. Once we are out of the seedling stage, these plants really begin to take off.

So far, all of the plants are very healthy and I dont see any deformities on the leaves, which is nice. Marijuana is a beautiful plant and I can't wait to show off the buds these are going to produce during flower.

Sort:

Which Camera lens you use for your photography? It shows the real beauty even without missing anything. Nice to see this kind of beautiful photos ;)

Thanks man. For these images, I used a Canon 100mm f/2.8.

It might be costly, how much you paid for it?

It was like $899 for that lens. Good lenses are expensive, but well worth the cost.

OG kushes tend to be a little stretchy starting out as well. Looking good man, your almost out of the sensitive streache!

Good to know man. Hopefully it does great.

Marijuana is very dangerous if grown in my country, because it can be subject to criminal sanctions even though marijuana has high economic value and can be used for medical purposes.

That sucks that your country views it so negatively. The world is finally coming around to the health benefits of this great plant.

Yes, I see several countries starting to grow it intensively for medical needs

At this point you already have this process very well curated, these always grows really healthy, i bet they are powerful!

It’s nice to see your plants grow
I’m glad you are actually progressing
Nice one!

Hardest part about the seedling stage, not getting arrested ohh yeah.

Granted since its legal there, that part is no more. But yeah a long time ago, Cannibis was pretty common in asia as well.

But because of the opium wars, all drug related herbs got restricted including cannibis. People from long ago would it all the other parts to make hemp, clothing, building materials, baskets, cook the seeds to make oil, and soap!
