So ready for spring
The weather this winter has been a bit odd. We didn't get as much snow as last year and the temperatures haven't really been that cold. We had a huge storm roll Utah through early yesterday afternoon and it snowed a few inches here where I live. Up north where my sister lives, she got about twice as much snow as we did.
I am so ready for some sun. I am sick of the grey skies and cold weather. I can't wait to be able to spend most of my day outside in my backyard.
The boulders in my backyard look pretty cool with snow on them though. I really like the different colors of the rocks against the white of the snow.
I also can't wait to see how my apple trees do this year. They won't be producing any fruit this season, but they should have some flowers that appear. They do have little buds forming on them, which tells me they are getting ready for spring. It will be cool to see them covered in leaves soon because they look sad with just a bunch of bare limbs.
I am so ready for fire nights on my fire pit. I am really glad that we put this in because we have used this fire pit so many times and have some fun memories that we made around it.
I think Harley is done with winter as well. He is not a fan of the cold and prefers to only be outside for short periods of time and then he comes inside and snuggles to get warm.
Titus on the other hand, he prefers to stay outside in this weather as long as he can. He loves to lay in the snow and cool off. It has been nice during the winter because he hasn't been shedding that much, but that is gonna be changing soon and I will be brushing him multiple times a day to get rid of his winter coat. The birds love when I brush him because they come in and take his fur and make nests.
I can't wait for the weather to warm up and for the sun to come out more. It is going to be fun getting our backyard set up as a fairy garden and make it a magical place for our little grandkids to play in.

Some really nice nature shots here. It’s also cool to read about how you relate to the environment in your area. Birds make nests out of your dog’s fur?! Different. Weather’s been funny all around lately. What it means, who knows.
We have three large tress in our backyard that houses so many birds. They are able to make some pretty big nests with all the fur they collect from the yard. Our husky loves all the birds, especially when they fall out of the tree and he gets to eat them.
Oooh these photos are stunning!! Living in a country where it does not snow, these photos almost make me feel like I am actually there... so awesome!

The apple trees shouldn't have issues with this last frost I guess? Only if it turn out to be later again I suppose? I can imagine the husky loves staying outdoors. My dog (bernese mountaindog) also has this same thing, you can really see that the breed originates in the snow and they love it.

During my last mushroom trip, while we were on our walk, we saw a few Bernese Mountaindogs. They are beautiful dogs. They were just laying in the snow while their owners talked to each other.

I hope you are able to some time. It is weird to me that some people never experience snow in their entire lives.
As someone who has never seen snow in their entire life (there's one state in my country that snows... but I've never left my home state for the past few years yet), these photos look so, so beautiful...it must be quite fun to enjoy the nice sights of snow for the first few weeks...and then feel weird about how you spend a few entire months with that whole winter and cold snow.
But hey, at least you get that level of variety- here either the skies stay chill, there's very occasional yet strong rains...or the usual deal of the scorching sun roasting me when I'm outside almost every month of the year lol
Snow is fun in small doses. I hate driving in it though. You should make the long drive up to the state where it snows so that you can experience it during your life. It can be a lot of fun to play in.
Winter is coming to an end now and so we will see snow next year. The weather that happens is so beautiful and I love it so much but where we live we are 12 hours away. One has to travel to see snowfall.
You should travel and go see some snow. It will be worth it if you have never seen it before.

Most of the snow on the valley floor will be gone in the next two days. The mountains will have snow for a bit longer as we move into spring.

Our husky loves this weather, our lab prefers the warmer weather that is coming up.

Wow! That's weird man, I've never seen snow in our country in March. Maybe there are specific places but at least in big cities it's never happened. I wonder how this summer will be, I hope it won't be too hot.
Ya, I am hoping it isn't too hot either. This weather the last few years has been very interesting. Hopefully we can get climate change under control.
