Panaeolus Cyanescens TTVBI
It's been a while since I wrote anything about mushrooms here on Hive. I am still on my journey of healing and self discovery with these substances. Over the last few months, I have been able to try many different mushroom strains and study their effects.
One strain I have been super excited for was the Panaeolus Cyanescens, or just Pans for short. These are a difficult strain to grow and find in the wild. They are some of the most potent psychedelic mushrooms and only one gram of these little guys pack a punch similar to 4-5 grams of the cubensis mushroom strains.
They are found in several different countries around the world, but mainly in the tropical regions of the world because they require a pretty high humidity to grow. They are normally found growing on or near cow shit in fields.
So other than their potency, what makes them so special? Well, one of the downsides many people experience when taking psychedelic mushrooms is the uncomfortable feeling in your body. That can manifest as nausea, body shakes, or other feelings of being uncomfortable.
The Pan strains practically eliminate all of those negative body load feelings during your trip, making it a more pleasant and enjoyable experience. To be able to trip without the nausea or body shakes that I normally experience will be pretty amazing. Usually the first hour or so of a trip can be pretty tough as your body processes the chemicals from mushrooms, so to be able to make the entire trip more enjoyable is pretty cool.
I met up with a local grower and was able to watch him harvest these and get some pictures. His setup was pretty awesome. He had several different strains in all the different stages of growth. Each strain requires a different environment for them to really flourish. The Pans had the most elaborate setup out of all the strains.
Pans require constant humidity to grow and they are not very forgiving at all and if you dont have the environment dialed in, they will not grow and contamination will take over pretty quickly.
When picked, these things are practically weightless, especially when they are dried. It takes a lot of these little things to measure up one grams worth. The entire tray was harvested and after drying, they will probably only weigh out to about 6 grams.
The good thing with these though is that they continue to grow pretty easily and you do not need to rehydrate the mycelium block or anything. So within a day or two, there should be a new set of them growing in the tray and ready to harvest in a couple more days. He will probably be able to get upwards of five or six harvests before the substrate has been depleted of nutrients required to grow. I was told that if you could get an ounce of dried mushrooms throughout all of the harvests from one tray, that is pretty good.
Not many people take the time to grow this strain because of the difficulty and the lower weight you actually get. So finding these strains is pretty difficult. They arent as profitable for growers to grow if they are selling them when you can grow something like a Penis Envy strain that has massive fruiting bodies that can weigh a few grams each when they are dried. So it was cool to find someone that was growing them for the love of growing and not worried about the profit at all.
I had mentioned before that these are potent little things, so if you ever come across this strain, make sure to take it easy and not overdo it. This strain can cause euphoria, intense visual and auditory hallucinations, time distortion and you can have some pretty in depth spiritual experiences. A lot of the psychedelic clinics that offer guided mushroom experiences use the Pan strains because of their ability to give deep spiritual experiences. They can be truly life changing for people.
Speaking of spiritual experiences, I am planning on eating a gram of these this weekend. I have heard that once you trip with Pans, you wont ever want to go back to Cubes. Right now I am perfecting my playlist for my trip. I am pretty excited. It was cool to see these little things growing in person before my trip. These are definitely a strain that demands respect.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my photos. Hopefully you learned something new today.

Nice artistic photos!
Thank you
Awesome photographs and write up on the Panaeolus Cyanescens @derangedvisions.
I find a great deal of appreciation in the idea of growing these for the love of psychedelics over growing for profit. Psychedelic mushrooms are a pretty niche small community so it surprises me some that these are not a popular choice due to the lack of profitability in cultivation.
I'm looking forward to hearing how your trip goes with these. It's great to see you making this content again man, keep up the great work.
It really was cool to be able to see these before harvest. I'm going into this next trip with a lot of respect for these mushrooms. It's gonna be an interesting experience, that's for sure.
Interesting post, thanks for sharing. I am curious about these maybe I will have an opportunity sometime.
Thanks. I hope you have the opportunity to eat some one day. I would love to hear about your experience from it.
That's awesome man that your exploring new paths! They are very hard to grow and keep growing but I see you've got it dowm! Never doubted you wouldm't bro!Glad to see you back on Hive too man!
Thanks man. These aren't mine. I just took pictures for the dude before he harvested them. It was cool to get to see his setup. Way more in depth than anything I had for my attempts at growing mushrooms.
Wowwww, how great shots of beautiful fungus
Thank you
Great info. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks man. I am looking forward to it.
wow this is amazing💥
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Those are some great shots, you can really see the details in the gills. And even the spores are visible.. very nice.
Thanks man. It was cool that they turned out so good. I was worried because of how small the mushrooms were. I need to get another macro lens that can get even closer.
Interesting. Looking forward to hearing about your experience with these.
Thanks. It's gonna be a cool experience.
That's Trippy!
Absolutely insane!! 🤯 Thank you for sharing, I had no idea about this strain. I told my husband about the potency and he shouted, "One feels like FOUR?! Holy crap, even 4 grams is too much!!" 😂😂
You're welcome. 4 grams can be intense, that's for sure. When things get crazy, just lay back and breathe through it. I am just hoping I can remember this advice during my trip this weekend.
It's my first time to see that kind of mushroom. Thank you for the educational information that you shared with us about that rare mushroom. 😊
Wow, all this post is already psycodelic 🤯🍄🌈🔮, I am curious, why you want to do a trip with mushrooms? Is it a kind of a therapy, you are searching for something spiritual or you just want to have fun? Hahaha
Interesting piece and nice pictures🙂
