beautiful shots Clara. I think I haven't seen this sport before. It looks similar with surfing but they ride close to the shore. Must be easier, right? I don't dare to try surfing as I am afraid of drowing but this sport might do me well

It's somewhat similar to surfing indeed! As much as this sport really looks easy compared to surfing, I'd choose surfing as you have longer time to ride the waves!
I hope you get past this fear soon! You are missing a lot but I know, water sports/activities are not for everybody. Everyone is unique and have different hobbies and passion.
