My first love

I remember seeing my digicam and camcorder for the first time in 2011, I fell in love instantly. Well at the time it wasn’t mine I knew one day it was going to be.

My mom was the kind of person who never really tried to understand new technology, or new things at all, it was like she was weary of them. She would give my uncle the camera to take pictures and she would even give other people but she was always afraid of me touching them. I didn’t until years later.


I picked up my digital camera last year after coming across it in my mom’s box and since I had an undying love for photography and I couldn’t afford the camera I wanted I said why not and took the camera.

I took it everywhere, I took pictures of everything. I loved it. My friends supported it, they would always wait for me to take pictures of our food before we ate, and sometimes they would even remind me. I didn’t try to understand if I was pursuing my dream or just taking pictures but I loved every moment of it. I took Soo many pictures.


Sadly, the latch covering where the batteries were supposed to be broke. I was devastated, but I still kept on using it until a few months ago, I couldn’t anymore. I tried taking it for repairs but they couldn’t find the parts to replace it and now it’s not even coming on. It felt sadder than losing my phone lol.

Well on the bright side, I got a bunch of pictures and I’m positive that I will get a proper camera one day. You’re probably wondering why they’re all in black and white, I took all my pictures in black and white. I don’t have a particular reason why I just felt like it represented a piece of me, I took most of those pictures for myself and I love what I love when I open my gallery. Anyway, I will post bits and bits of my pictures until I get tired, until then, Byee. Stay curious. 💋
