From Robots To Surveillance And Guns

After showing you the cool stuff of the exhibition organized by the special forces, today I'm back to show you some different equipment that is needed in combat nowadays. There were a lot of cool things at this section too.

20230301_114817a.jpg

What you see here is two RugGear RG760.

the world’s first PTT-ready smartphone featuring private and public LTE for high-speed wireless communication, even in the most remote areas, thank to private LTE Band 31. Built to IP68 standards, it safeguards against harsh conditions so your workers can make unrestricted calls wherever they are. source

No matter what war or conflict we're talking about, communication is key, so it's better to have the best tools. I don't know if it is available for civilians as well, but in remote areas I think it would be useful.

I was looking at this tent and was thinking how much can one like this cost. These tents are not just for the army, can be used in any emergency situation and if you're a camper, you can buy one and set up camp where you'd like and have a big home. It's huge, compared to those tourist tents that are mostly for sleeping. During covid and the beginning of the war these tents came in very handy.

This was another cool toy, but was not doing anything, was just parked there.

used for pyrotechnic operations and reconnaissance in disposal of dangerous objects, chemical detection and rescue operations, manipulator with extendable source

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find it on the internet, but based on a similar one, that's what this robot do. Robots are taking over in many areas, to protect humans and service dogs. Robotics is the future, like it or not.

This was where the fun began. The room you see on the photo above is on the first floor of a medieval bastion, which was built in 1492 and has been used for defense purposes for centuries. Now, in 2023, there was an exhibition organized by the special forces. Imagine the time gap between the building time and now and imagine the differences in defense style and technique between the two eras. It was quite amazing to think of this. Imagine bringing back to life those who built it and showing them what we are using today as defense technique.

20230301_115017a.jpg

This floor was full of weapons and surveillance technique.

20230301_115035a.jpg

This was the way down to the ground floor of the bastion, but it was not open to the public.

This is most likely how the front line looks like in the control room.

The guys on the left were speaking American English.

20230301_115123a.jpg

A Glock? Anyone?

20230301_115126a.jpg

20230301_115215a.jpg

As there was no one here, I stopped for a minute and took this Glock in my hand. I wanted to see how heavy it is. Well, heavy is a relative term here, depends on who's weighing the weapon. For me, as a woman who used a rifle only once, it was a bit heavy. I must specify that loaded it is way heavier (needless to say, there were no bullets in it). I had a chat with the guy sitting at the table and he said this Glock is not heavy. Obviously he must have held much heavier toys, so he knows better and I believe him. He offered to take a photo of me, holding the Glock, but I said no thank you, I'm fine without the photo. It's enough for me that I could hold the gun and take a photo.

Then we spoke about the AG7, which is a portable anti-tank grenade launcher. I told him I saw one years ago and he was a bit shocked. That's a weapon you only see in the army, in strict conditions.

20230301_115142a.jpg

This was a funny scene. The small window you see is actually the bastion's opening used to shoot the enemy back in the day. I'm not sure if you can see how thick the wall of the bastion is.

There were different accessories here, but not for sale. I ran a search and you can check out their website here, if you're interested -> https://eu.glock.com/en. They have some super cool outdoor equipment like field and survival knives, entrenching tools and a bunch of pistols, obviously. A knife like that would be cool though, just keep it out of the sight of police as it is considered white weapon and you can be fined for wearing one in the city. Not that I want to.

20230301_115514a.jpg

20230301_115511a.jpg

There was a nice gentleman here, who was kind enough to explain me how these stations work, to gather and distribute information on a need to know bases. This is where decision making is happening.

20230301_115556a.jpg

I don't think I need to explain what you see here. Obviously it's just a simulation as there was no war going on in the immediate area, but this is how it's done in real life. On the upper left you have a bunch of useful data, like longitude, latitude, speed 79 km/h, altitude 803m, temperature 38.5°C, wind speed and direction. These variables always have to be taken into consideration when making a decision and executing.

20230301_120709a.jpg

You could shoot here as there was a gun available, but with blanks, obviously. The guy was explaining the lady how to hold it correctly and how to aim. There was a crowd waiting in line to shoot. You can imagine :)

20230301_112243a.jpg

There was a simulation of a shooting range, but just for demonstration purposes as you were not allowed to go closer and there were no guns to shoot with.

20230301_112232a.jpg

You could take a photo here, posing as military. Surprisingly there was no one here, everyone was where the guns were.

20230301_112219a.jpg

These guys (that you can't see in the photo) were from the training unit for special forces. This exhibition was organized with the purpose of showing civilians how the army and special forces work, but also to inform those who are interested to join.

I really like this exhibition, Erika brought back memories of my childhood and adolescence when I lived with my dad. And this is a showcase to show young people the opportunities they have for their lives if they enlist in the national armed forces in their home countries to fulfill compulsory military service and a career in the arts and the army.

Robotics is really the future of the present. The first lung transplant in the world has just been done by a doctor from my country in Barcelona, Spain, the son of doctors, his parents, and family friends.

Thank you, friend, this exhibition was great. I send you a hug from my beloved land of the sun.🍀🌴

I can imagine you had your fair share of the military if your dad was in the military.

There's no compulsory military service in my country anymore, so if you enroll, that would be out of your own will. However, with the war going on next door, there are 4 or 5 months training periods men can do in the military and if things turn really bad, there will be mandatory enrolling, but we hope we won't get to that point.

Robotics was once science fiction, today it is reality. Evolution can't be stopped.

Thanks again for stopping by and have a nice day :)

Thank you so much, Erika 🍀🌺

I'm trying to catch up to your special forces exhibit blogs, lol. I seen another but I'm going in order.

You could shoot here as there was a gun available, but with blanks, obviously.

Did you get in line and shoot?

Lol, nooooo 😁. I'm planning to go to the shooting rage though.

If you haven't been before that is definitely a stress reliever.

I have been but that was an army range, under military command and it was not fun at all. It was raining, we had to lay down in the mud and shoot withing the few minutes we were given. My rifle got jammed, had to call the officer as we were not allowed to get up till they said so... so you get the picture 😂

Oh no that sounds like a horrible time. I hope your next trip to the range is a much better one.

Siii!!!

I cant remember how heavy the gun I shot with was as it was years ago, but we shot laying down and that way the gun does not feel so heavy. But in any case, each gun and firearm has a certain weight.

Look out for my next post as there will be some cool stuff. 😎

What were you doing with a riffle once erikah?🤔

I’m also surprised you turned down the offer to get that picture taken. I didn’t think you were one to turn down a picture holding such a cool toy.

I get that this is an exhibition, but I’m surprised that the army is explaining to civilians how they operate. Doesn’t that make it easier for enemies to simply infiltrate and steal a few things from their books? Sounds a little risky, no?

What was I doing with a riffle once? What can one do with an army riffle? I was shooting at a military range with real bullets under military command.

I am supersized you are surprised I didn't take the photo, lol. Why would I? What good does that serve? There are shooting ranges here, I can go there and play Rambo for a day or more and take photos with every possible handgun and rifle I want. But you most likely know I'm not the show off type :)

Most of the equipment description is available online, You can run a search and see these firearms. How they operate is a relative term. Each operation is different. No one is going to tell you how they are operating at the moment in a war zone area as that's top secret. However, there are standards based on which they are operating, rules that apply in every situation. That is known for those who served and most likely it is available online as well, it's not a secret.

So to answer your question, no, it is not risky as these events are open to anyone and the information you get is public knowledge.

Lol I haven’t seen before, but you don’t sound like you could shoot a gun from your writing. erikah, tasty stuff maker, photographer and fun person. Don’t see how rambo fits in. hehe:)

Oh I get it now. Cool.

you don’t sound like you could shoot a gun from your writing.

If we resurrect the people when that building was built and show them how they look now, I am sure they would be shocked. Although maybe some of them are waiting for this situation. After all, so many years have passed.

I would love to practice shooting there. It looks like a lot of fun.

They would be shocked for sure.

I would love to practice shooting there. It looks like a lot of fun.

There are shooting ranges where you can shoot with real bullets and whatever weapon you choose, so that's more fun if you like :)

I'm not a fan of gun usage, so it's better to shoot with fake bullets 🤣.

If I was there and if I was you, I would probably let him take a picture of me holding that toy as a simple remembrance and something souvenir in the future hehehe.

Anyway, that big tent was seen during COVID-19 outbreak being used as isolation area.

Seems like taking a photo is what most of you would have done :) Well, not me.
My souvenir is the memories and the photos I took.

These tents were used here as triage areas during Covid.

Yes sis you might be right, I like to have pictures in the places I visited as souvenir. This is opposite when I was young, my mother told me that I would cry if being photograph hahaha.

We really have different preference about it but the important is we have souvenir and our memories is the best out of it.

Oh gosh @erikah this is so cool. Seeing these pictures makes it seem like I am holding that weapon no matter how heavy it may be.

It mostly reminds me of my dream job.

Lol, your dream job? Which one is that?

Whispering (Being a spy).

Lol, that's the most difficult job in the world, not to mention dangerous.

Yeah it is and I am up to the task but my money Isn't😂😂. A failed dream I suppose.

Please ensure you check her previous post on the exhibition. Trust me you will enjoy them like good meal😊😊😊 I have been following them up for sometime now and I do enjoy them.
Why didn't you accept to hold the gun and take good pictures of yourself. This post has really been fun and interesting. I love them. Please keep telling us about it oo

Lol, I see many of you are obsessed with gun photos 😁. Well, not me though. A gun itself means something, a photo of me holding the gun means nothing.

Stay tuned as another post is coming today.

🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺 definitely gonna wait for today's own. This exhibition is an interesting one. Those guns I'm seeing there are really beautiful and you know it's usually once in a while something. Make use of the opportunity please🥰🥰🥰

Haha... I would have taken a shot myself too.
Thanks for sharing

Yeah, looks like you're not the only one :)

Oh... There are many 😂

Greets from Vienna

Well, I like to look at them, to learn, but it's scary.

Thanks for stopping by :)

There is a lot of technology so thats ufff like KI and so on ... crazy but hell yes when you fight between countrys you need real soldgers or robots as well?!

You need everything you can get these days and robots play a huge role.

Honestly, I loved all of your contents about your visit on this exhibition that showcased the tactical and survival equipment of the armed forces. And now here's the robots and how they make use of the technology as an advantage. A big wow to the guns too, and now it reminded me of how I wanted to try shooting (using a real gun) but there are some requirements to meet. Hopefully, I can try and learn from the professionals from shooting ranges soon. I learned a lot from this blog again :)

What requirements are there to meet that you can't meet? Here you have to be 18, be a citizen of the country and pay the fee. That's all.

I need to bring a licensed gun, preferably from a relative who's an officer, and they should be there too. That's the last requirement that I need. I don't know if it's just the shooting ranges here in our area. I find this requirement really weird. Maybe they lack shooting guns.

Most likely they don't have a lot of guns but that is crazy. Here service weapons can't be used to shoot for fun. These shooting ranges have their own arsenal, otherwise they don't get the license to operate.

I hope some improvement can be made soon there as what they do is not right and definitely not up to modern time standards.

Going back to a very fun exhibition, and talking about guns, I think it's hard for men though, if I were there maybe I'd try it too and disguise myself as a military😅

Lol, why would you disguise yourself as military? 😃

So that the angle for shooting is not quiet😅

That tent is really huge and I don't think it'll fit in a travel bag, lol. But a great and handy thing for bad times.

Imagine bringing back to life those who built it and showing them what we are using today as defense technique.

They'd freak out for sure.

The guys on the left were speaking American English.

They looks like men in black.

About the Glock. Is it the model name of that gun? I heard about clock, I heard about lock but never heard about glock.

BTW, didn't you fell in the line to try shooting?

Thanks for showing us these amazing and valuable things.

This is obviously not for a travel bag.

Glock is a brand and its a famous one as well.

I did not want to shoot there. If I want to shoot, I go to the shooting range, pick whatever firearm I want and shoot with real bullets.

If I want to shoot, I go to the shooting range, pick whatever firearm I want and shoot with real bullets.

Sounds like shooting range of PUBG training mode. Thank you for letting be know all these things.
