Fishing in my village : An exciting journey in winters

Today, I would like to share a significant experience from my life when I went on a journey with my cousin and some friends to the northern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

We decided to visit our village during the winter season last year, despite the temperature being just 2 degrees Celsius. As a Karachite, I found the weather to be extremely cold, and it was difficult for me to even touch the water. Although it is normal for people in the area to live in such weather conditions, it was a challenging experience for me.

First day and morning experience:

After reaching the village, We were exhausted from the long journey, we quickly ate dinner and climbed up the rooftop to witness the cristal-clear sky and twinkling stars. Our village is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by natural beauty.

Moving from the city to village for the first time you experience the peacefulness and serenity of the nature that was in sharp contrast with the noise and pollution of the city. Unlike cities where you can't even inhale fresh air or think of waving your hand freely from the window of your car while driving.

The following day, we had plans for hiking and fishing. We slept early to ensure we had enough energy for the activities ahead. As we climbed up the mountain, we were greeted with stunning rocky terrain and lush greenery. On our hike, we came across goats and cows grazing on the mountain's leaves. Although the climb was challenging, the breathtaking views made it all worthwhile.

After a few hours, we returned back to our house to take some rest and prepare for our afternoon fishing trip. Armed with our fishing rods and nets, we made our way to the nearby river. As soon as we arrived, we eagerly cast our hooks into the water, hoping to catch some fish.

In the meantime, we decided to enjoy a delicious meal of spaghetti. we relished the calming and peaceful atmosphere around us, listening to the gentle sound of the flowing river.

After several hours of patiently waiting, we finally caught some fish and decided to head back home. As we made our way through the mountainous terrain, we couldn't help but notice the beautiful birds that were humming and chirping around us, including a woodpecker on a tree.

Once we arrived home, we began to clean and prepare the fish, adding our favorite spices and seasonings to enhance the flavors.

We fried the fish in a pan, and as the aroma filled the room, we knew we were in for a treat. Finally, we sat down to enjoy a delicious dinner.

It was truly remarkable journey and filled with unforgettable memories. Every second was a joyous adventure. Reflecting on those moments brings me a sense of peace, as I write and share the joy we experienced.
