Photographing Cars --- brings back memories

I don't know what it is, I love seeing older cars at shows. It brings back memories and a smile to your face. No matter your age, we all are intrigued by cars. It doesn't matter ...they are for entertainment and they are quite functional today....which is even more amazing.

Last summer we had the annual "old car show" here in the area. It was an opportunity for car enthusiasts and people from all walks of life to enjoy these spectacular older cars.

I used a Nikon V1 and iPhone for most of the photos. Pick your favorites.

Many of these cars, are parents could have driven. I know people love older "hot rods".

Older Chryslers, Fords, Buicks, Jaguar, they had them all. My father would love this car.

My grandfather cold never afford such a car like this, but we would really get a kick out of driving this one.

Older Fords, Model A, Model T...I don't know why but I think of bank robberies...LOL.

Who doesn't remember the VW bus that made headlines in California and swept the country. Who needs an SUV ?

Older Chevy or Ford Pickup Trucks....classy.

They were in incredible shape. Driving around and meeting at the hangouts with these cars...that was the rage.

Funny, it's not that different from todays Jaguar. I think of James Bond when I see this car.

Thank you so much!

You are very welcome! Fantastic images. 👍

Our little town usually has two or three car shows a year. Sadly this year due to Covid we probably won't have any.

Same here...maybe next year :-)

Those are beautiful, who wouldn't want to drive them around.

I agree....very cool indeed.

Mint looking relics of the past.. 😊

Love it :-)

Lovely photos, and most from hot-rods that I never knew before. Then, there are some other cars that I know and absolutely adore. That green E-Type is HOT, and very well taken care of, too! Seeing a Triumph in the States is quite an interesting one, since they never made a lot of cars while they were alive.

Not sure what model that is, but the front look is reminiscent of what they call a 'frog-eye', owing to how the front-fascia looks, with those poky head-lights. Also, props to you for including a Nissan Figaro in the very last photo. I reckon it's even rarer than a Triumph, and even more adorable! I made a post on that just a few days ago, yet I still can't get it out of my head since...

They are a treat to look at and photograph. They were in such great condition...hard to believe.

No doubt, it's incredible to see them in such a good shape. Mad respect to those who're still taking great care, and are driving around in these classics!

This place is full of beautiful vehicles. They are very beautiful.

Beautiful cars, I've only tried the VW bus, maybe i am not old enough, lol
