It was a gloomy day and as I was walking the dog along the pier, the yellow colour was glowing outrageously, begging for my attention. It was impossible not to notice it. I pulled the phone out of my pocket almost unconsciously, while I was calling the dog to stop and wait for me. The clouds reflecting on the water of the totally calm sea, gave the perfect background and I framed the shot with no hesitation. Actually it was already in my head before I even touch my phone!
I took this picture on Friday and shared it to a private group of friends. They seemed to like it. Later that day, @traisto made a story with it, at her Insta account. People seemed to like it there too. So I thought to also share it here and although I am not a big fun of phone photography, I do find this particular shot, kind of nice.
I took some more phone shots that day but nothing worth-sharing. Don't worry though, I am not going to leave you with only one picture. You should know me, I never do that :)
I am continuing with pictures that I took last January and I haven't share them before. This is a small town and I walk every day, often with my camera in hand, so I have many pictures of the same places in different seasons, in various times and all kinds of weather. As I was looking those pictures I realised that even in one year, there are things that have change. Small things, like a tree that died or a graffiti that was erased. Making my archive a tiny testimony of the town's history. I guess that if I continue taking pictures for many years, the changes will be more and more, until some of the things that I capture today will be lost and forgotten.
I am sure that some changes will be for the better, some others for the worst and many will be controversial, with people praising or condemning depending on their view on life. I have a couple of examples in mind with major projects that have been announced and already divide the public opinion. Inevitable, I might add, if we could all agree what's right and what's wrong, we wouldn't call our planet earth but paradise :)
It looks like that not having a specific subject to write about, drifts me into the blurry waters of free write. I hope you are still with me. I won't frazzle you any more with my random thoughts. It is a rainy Sunday evening now in Greece. Have a nice Sunday if you are in the west and it is still morning or have a nice Monday if you are in the east and the sun is about to rise or whatever in between!

It is supposed to be said by Heraclitus. It is funny how the whole world knows only 3 words (τα πάντα ρει) out of a philosopher's lifetime work. Even funnier is that we are not sure that he actually said them!

Μου αρέσει πολύ αυτή η φωτογραφία, με κάνει να θέλω να βουτήξω στη θάλασσα, αν και δεν μου αρέσουν τα λιμάνια επειδή έχουν πάντα σκούρα νερά 😬 χαχαχα.
Είναι η δέστρα, το σιδερένιο κολωνάκι που δένουν τα καράβια στο λιμάνι. Δεν ήξερα πως να το πω στα Αγγλικά και το άφησα λίγο ασαφές :)
Αυτή η φωτογραφία είναι ποιο πέρα, ανάμεσα στο λιμάνι και την παραλία που πηγαίνουμε. Κι εδώ κάνουν μπάνιο. Μάλιστα τα βράχια που βλέπεις να σχηματίζουν τετράγωνο και η τσιμεντένια εξέδρα ήταν το πρώτο κολυμβητήριο της πόλης!

Νομίζω ότι φτιάχτηκε το 1950 και το χρησιμοποιούσαν μέχρι το 1980 που χτίστηκε το κανονικό.
Όποιος θέλει μπορεί να κάνει μπάνιο αλλά δεν το προτιμούνε και πολλοί.
Το 1950; Και εγώ νόμιζα ότι ήταν αρχαίο 🙈😂.
Για να μην το προτιμούν κάποια αιτία θα υπάρχει 😕🤔 χαχαχα, εγώ θα έκανα την βουτιά μου έτσι για να μην μου μείνει η περιέργεια 😸.
