RE: The genius of insect designs.

I hope farmers around the world can start to implement "pest-control" measures that are not so disruptive to the natural processes. I believe I read something about planting certain other plants around crops that certain insects avoid. If this is possible at a large scale, I think it would be preferable, as we need our bees alive and pollinating. Thank you for sharing!

I know that they are always working on better solutions for the pest problem. It is absolutely essential to protect the bee colonies.
Other plants around crops are called "companion planting", and it cannot be done in the lands, as not only are the farms very big, but it will also turn out to be very expensive.

Yes, I can see how that would become very expensive at an industrial scale. Perhaps it is only really feasible to use companion planting for smaller gardens. I'm sure they will figure something out for the larger farms, hopefully not before its too late..

Well, our farmers are also experts and that's why they are in demand across the world. I am sure that they fully understand the insect problems, and that they do their best to try and protect the bee populations. Somehow things will be sorted out. !LOL
