I Tried to Have a Beach Walk, There Was no Beach

Back on the 1st of July, I wanted to go somewhere and use my evening for a walk in somewhere nice. Since the sunset had the potential to be beautiful that evening, I wanted to go for a walk on the beach.

I decided to drive about 20 minutes from my home to a place called Meremõisa RMK beach. This is a state-maintained camping area, and there is also a nice beach.
When I arrived there, I noticed that the wind was very strong, like very strong, and pretty cold too. This wind, unfortunately, brings a sea-level rise and that resulted in the beach not being there. All the sandy areas were underwater, so I couldn't walk on it.

I just took a couple of photos of the surrounding views.

I liked the clouds up in the sky. A thin dotted sheet on one side.

I love taking photos, but being stationary that evening was not my plan, and I still wanted to have some steps in. I went to the seaside forest and walked along a path that led to all the seaside camping spots. The lighting in the forest was really nice. I have camped there several times over the years.

I happened to see something special that evening too. A massive comet that left a long, bright trail and actually came really close to land. There were even news articles that told about this comet flying above Finland and it exploded with a large boom in the air. Nothing reached on land, fortunately.
And I happened to look in the right spot at the right time. I don't have a photo of it because I didn't take a photo at this exact time. To me, it seemed like a burning airplane falling from the sky. I took this photo about 20 seconds before that happened.

I'd heard about this comet and seen a video somewhere online. It truly was an incredible phenomenon! You're so lucky to have seen it!

Very nice photos, as always :)

Ah yes, extremely lucky. Thanks!

It’s a shame the beach walk was ruined by the high water, that must have been disappointing. But catching sight of a comet during your forest walk sounds like such a rare and magical moment. Sometimes nature surprises us in the best ways.

It was a bit but no biggie. I can always find beaches to walk on.

Beautiful pictures taken during the golden hour. The light is amazing.

Whenever we visit such beautiful and scenic places, they are always memorable for us because these beautiful views give us a lot of peace.
