A Hidden Gem on the India-Nepal Border

No matter how much you praise Rimbic, it is less. Every house here is decorated with flowers. Talking about religion, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and Nepali people live together. Living here is a blessing in itself. Because the village is situated on the India-Nepal border, only Nepali language is spoken here. After reaching here, I stayed in the room for two days and then thought that I will take a tour around.

When I look at the roofs of the three, it seems as if the roofs want to touch the sky...these roofs want to hold the hand of the sky and perhaps ride to the top of some mountain somewhere towards the rainbow. Flowers are decorated in front of every house and Buddhist prayer flags are standing in the courtyard of the houses as if reciting mantras of peace in the environment.

The roads here go through the forests and if I continue on these roads, I will reach Sandakpur which is the highest peak of West Bengal and its height is 3636 meters. Sano is a village...very small, so small that there are only 30 people here. By the way, let me tell you that people never buy tea here because tea plants are found in abundance here and the locals pick tea leaves from these plants and make tea for themselves.

There are forests and houses at some places. As if there are stars far away in the sky. Looking at these houses, I just think that I wish I too had a house here in the forest. Living among nature will never let me change, I will remain what I am till the end. Red flowers have bloomed on the Buransh tree, the flowers are so red that it seems as if all the red roses of the world have given their blessings to this Buransh tree. I kept looking at the flowers burning like lanterns. Truly there is no competition with nature.

There is a descent on the way back and we do not go the way we came but take another route. There is a dense forest on this return path. The tall trees are so high as if they want to touch the birds flying in the sky. Considering the trails passing through the forest as our companions, both of us are listening to the sounds of the forest. My mind becomes filled with joy after seeing such scenes. Beautiful.
