🐴 My entry for Friendly Moose #FPC : TRANSPORTATION : How epic would be to have a horse? 🐴

in Photography Lovers17 days ago (edited)

Hello everyone, not sure how you feel about horses, but I will propose you a mental exercise of riding one, not only just riding and own him / her for transportation reasons or work. How beneficial would actually be to be able to bound and have an authentic relationship with this absolute amazing beings?

My love for horses is enormous.. actually is infinite! Since early childhood i promised to my self that one day i will take care of one and make it a family member. I am not there yet, but perhaps i am getting closer as I have moved out of London and all countries with their big cities in which I used to live in the last 10 years… I have moved out to Croatia in a surreal small village. Therefore it feel I am getting closer to that promise.

Back to 2012 ish… I used to have a friend from another town, in Romania. On that land I had the absolute luck to experience & bound with horses. I used to ride without any harness or equipment. Freely. The relationship I had with that horse on her name Stela ( meaning star 💫 in romanian ) it was one of a kind. We were going in town together, I was doing my shoppings riding her. It was an absolutely magical era of my past. Back then I had the chance to understand why I made that promise to myself at a very young age. I will let a picture here, somewhere in this entry, with Stella & I. Perhaps I will make a separately entry about that phase, as this particularly entry is for @friendlymoose and his epic #FPC.

This week the theme is TRANSPORTATION. For me the most cool would be if humanity will jump out for a while out of their high speed vehicles & start enjoying life at slow paced rhythms as once was… still is… yet we are all way to busy to have a chance to remember that.. aren’t we?

In this entry I will take you onboard & presenting you some horses from very recent past, in the UK and from 2023 in Romania.. and ah… yeah.. a picture with me riding Stela which would be the oldest picture of this entry.

So here we go!

First stop, UK

Two years after I used to live in big towns in the uk such as London and Maidstone, I took the decision to move out in a smaller one for better and quieter days. I have moved to Chatham which was a very small town and from where by foot one could make it to Rochester in less than 40minutes, a walk that I would do in my days off.

Here are few epic pictures from Rochester Castel, where 3 horses were having their hay lunch with a view!

I hope you can see how beautiful & gentle they are despite of their impressive size.

The white one hold a particular expression, for me at least. 🥲

A lunch with a view, black & white. Rochester castel, UK

Hey, Hey, Hey, the weather is ok today

hey, hey, yet nothing as ok as this hay, hay! :)

Hey, this hay is so yummy! Mostly when I am with you! 🧡 🐴

That all about this Horses, their lunch with a view & their love for one another. 🐴

Perhaps it made you smile or at least feel something. I hope!

Now let’s have a pit stop in Wild “RawMania” (Romania), shall we?

Wild “RawMania” how I like to call my birth country… as I believe this “name” is very representative for her.

Second stop of this entry, yet first stop from Romania will be the picture i mentioned few times already.

Stela the most amazing horse, letting one to ride her without any equipment. In this picture is Radha, a lil girl I used to babysit back to Romania, more than 15years ago, and me. One of our coolest day together in nature
.

Back to 2023, when I revisited Rawmania, I went to raw & natural places,& of course had the chance to bound with more horses. Admiring them fills my heart with gratitude & joy.

A stunning horse enjoying his freedom. Romania 2023

This one was enjoyed himself, I have an entire foto session with him and quite a few videos. Perhaps I will share them at some point.

The beauty black force of nature

Fresh grass is so fine, all this mountains are mine! Romania,2023

Moving further from that place, to our next destination… on the way… this happened.

I am not sure what happened here… perhaps an upset horse… “Why they chose the car and not me? 🥲, Wild Romania.

Two young brothers, their dads car and horse perhaps… no clue.. I just passed by and saw this scene… oh wild RawMania.

I am not sure at all what happens here, and I have not stopped to ask or to bother… perhaps their dad stopped not to far away, as around there were some natural spring, I want to imagine that the boys were thirsty and the dad went to the spring to collect some fresh cold water. And I would leave it like that… not sure about the horse either.

Very few pictures from Rawmania… many more in the near future perhaps.

Now I think I will take you back into the UK.

Back in the UK, another heartfelt meeting with some stunning & funny horses

This picture are not having such a good quality, as I have focused to my meeting & relating to them, not on the technical settings, yet i believe I succed to capture their essence and able to present their story, our story.

On one of my walks I have encountered with this two short legged horses, you know me, I could not help myself not to get closer and ask them for permission to touch them.

By the way… I feel like telling you, in case this picture had inspired you, and if next time you have a chance to see & get closer to a horse, please say hi on the right & on the left.. because horses have monocular vision and may perceive each side as a different experience, when meeting a horse, it is important to say hi on both sides so it can recognise you with each eye & feel comfortable around you. What to do next? Wait for his signals, if the horse accepts you will have relaxed ears, a calm posture & soft eyes. May even step toward you. Don’t get scared. If the horse dose not want you closer you will get the signals, it may pin its ears, show the whitens of its eyes, raised its head, turn or move away. Please do not insist as it can turn into a bad experience. It is very important to show respect and wait for the horse to agree or not, no one can force any kind of meeting… nor with humans or animal… it is the law of nature & life.

In the following picture you will see that one of the horses was a bit sceptical about my presence, you will see that I have moved sides in order to introduce myself for both of them on their both sides, because they were so close to each other it was a bit challenging for all of us, yet they have accepted me and we spent some time together.

I shall get, a lil bit closer.

A pit stop on the Higstreet of Chatham, UK

Horses knows how to show their love for one another.

They have been parked on the highstreet by their owner.

Soft Whispering the truth: Our fella human stopped for his lunch, I bet he dose not come back with hay…

Approaching them empty handed… so sorry, all I got for you today is LOVE!

Patience & hunger, recieved some love from my side. Chatham highstreet, UK

The one who is always double checking 😄

Love only shall be ok!

Love is enoug!

Oh well, are you sure you are not hiding anything in your hand?

Hey, love is fine, yet where is tha hay???…I want some love in my mouth & tummy!

We don’t know where our owner is at… nor where is our hay…hey!

Let’s hang out! Closely.

I hope you enjoyed the ride! I wish you all a lovely weekend. I hope you can consider a horse, at least in your imagination if not in real life. I hope one can see how beautiful the relationship with horses can be / is.

This would be my favourite TRANSPORTATION. And I won’t consider this the only reason I dream about of having my own horse.
