You can't get the opportunity to spend the night within walking distance to Queenstown city center and not go out to explore the town.
After refreshing up and not dark yet for a walk, I strolled the streets of Queenstown and found myself at Steamer Wharf waterfront, where I noticed a lot of tourists would get off the bus for some minutes walk and then get back into the bus to continue perhaps to their hotels and journey.
As for me, seeing people out in numbers, the birds having their time, and taking flights every now and then with the ducks swimming in their space was a delight for me.
The ferry came and went during my walk and I wished I was on one of them but it was okay, I felt happy never the less for the walk.
The birds look very happy there, especially the ones playing in the water with the ducks, calm and carefree. They are also not afraid of visitors to the place, a great added value👍
The birds and the ducks comes closer to humans they are used to humans coming closer to them which is nice to see. The entire atmosphere is relaxing.

The sea gulls are funny. They let you come close by.

The seagulls are funny greedy lol, the local Kiwis here don't like them, they say they're pests but we tourist and foreigners like them it is funny.

I find the relationship between the birds and ducks interesting here they don't run a way they come hoping to be fed it is nice. It was truly a lovely walk.

Yes I still have my thermal layers from last winter I probably might have to buy one or two more.
