Never miss an opportunity, maybe luck is in it

Seeing it in one focus is very impressive and very special in a natural state above the waters of the open ocean, and how happy it is to be near it while enjoying the stunning sea panorama.

Hive friends, on this occasion, I will share with you about an ordinary object and it will be extraordinary if it is included in the realm of photography, like the picture you see in this post, a traditional fishing boat standing in the parking lot at the edge of the sea away from the beach, of course it will look different from the real vision in the daily life of the fishermen.

The boat you see is a wooden boat, equipped with makeshift equipment and is often operated by traditional fishermen from our area. It is used as a tool to catch fish in the sea along the coast with an operating distance of about 500 meters from the shore.

With a length of 2 meters and a width of about 05 meters, it is a very suitable size for a tool to operate this area. Boats that do not use engines as their driving force still rely on human power of 2 people (as propulsion/oarsmen) and one person (steering holder) which is a unique tradition in the fishing sector in this region.

Relying on a crew of 3 people, the strength of the road is minimal enough to be able to go towards the middle of the sea (500 meter) with the size mentioned above from the beach.

Two people as rowers who move the speed on the left and right side of the boat are very fun for them and are often excited when they see a school of fish seen in a water depth of 1 meter. Meanwhile, one person who holds the helm is dubbed the skipper who has multi-function duties, one of the above and also monitors the fish herd when operating.

While the fishing gear in the form of a trawl unit is made of a special soft thread, which has been created in the form of a length of 500 meters and a height of about 3 meters, equipped with a buoy as a function to lift the trawl, and a tin attached to the bottom makes this trawl like a large cage that able to reach and trap fish that are playing in sea water.

Even though the name is a drag net or a shrimp trolley trawl, its function is not to trap shrimp, but to trap fish such as anchovies that play on the water about 1 meter from the surface of the water.

When the skipper has seen a herd of anchovies from a distance of approximately 20 meters, the trawlers will anchor with the technique they rely on, by making a large cage, the anchovies playing on the surface of the water will enter in a long shape with several holes under the trawl. Then the connection like a rope that has been prepared previously is attached to the two wings of the trawl, both left and right, then brought ashore, and this is where the task of the other crew, towing this trawl ashore. It looks slowly and surely, so that in approximately 1 hour the trawl has been fused. Then automatically the fish will be dragged to the mainland.

Maybe it will be very confusing when reading the technique of operating this trawler, or the tricks used are very complicated, but here what I see is that the crew often catch fish in the ocean 500 meters from the shore, and they are able to bring the fish to land.

If you are still confused too, then just look at the beauty of this wooden boat, in the ocean or when it is about to be operated, or just look at the boat as seen below. Here are some pictures that I can present to you.

That's one unit of a traditional fishing wooden boat, which made me today take a photo of it and share it with you in this community. Hopefully you like it. Then I thank you for reading this post.
