I continue exploring the world of food photography, this time I had the opportunity to take photographs of Ice Cream!
Near my house there is a dessert shop that is going to start selling ice cream, the owner of the shop is my friend so I offered to take photographs of her ice cream, that way I help her with her start in her new project and at the same time I have the opportunity to practice food photography more while I create my portfolio.
Yo sigo explorando el mundo de la fotografia de alimentos, esta vez tuve la oportunidad de hacer fotografias de Helados!
Cerca de mi casa hay un local de postres que va a comenzar a vender helados, la dueña del local es mi amiga si que le ofrecí hacerle las fotografias a sus helados, de esa manera la ayudo con su inicio en su nuevo proyecto y a la vez yo tengo la oportunidad de practicar mas la fotografia de alimento mientras voy creando mi portafolio.
To take these photos we use colored backgrounds because they give the ice creams a "fun" look and make them stand out much more.
Para hacer estas fotos utilizamos fondos de colores pues le dan un aspecto "divertido" a los helados y los hacen resaltar mucho mas.
We use different colors of backgrounds, always seeking to help highlight the ice cream.
Utilizamos diferentes colores de fondos, siempre buscando que ayuden a resltar el helado.
What makes these ice creams special is that they are not the typical "fat" ice creams made from milk.
These ice creams have special ingredients that make them healthy, lactose-free and gluten-free, so that diabetics, celiacs and vegans can enjoy them without worrying about having negative effects on their health.
Lo que hacen especiales a estos helados es que no son los tipicos helados "fat" hechos de leche.
Estos helados tienen unos ingredientes especiales que los hacen saludables, libres de lactosa y libres de gluten, para que las personas diabeticas, celiacas y veganas puedan disfrutar de ellos sin preocuparse por tener efectos negativos en su salud.
Even the syrups are totally natural, made from fruit syrup in a completely artisanal way.
Incluso los siropes son totalmente naturales hechos de jarabe de fruta de una manera totalmente artesanal.
To take these ice cream photographs, the owner of the place did a trick that surprised me a lot and made all of our work easier.
She poured the ice cream into the glasses and put it in the freezer for a while, that way the ice cream would last much longer before starting to melt and believe me, those extra minutes helped us a lot!
Para hacer estas fotografias de helados, la dueña del local hizo un truco que me sorprendió muchisimo y nos hizo todo del trabajo mas facil.
Ella sirvió los helados en los vasos y metió al congelador durante un rato, de esa manera los helados aguantarian mucho mas tiempo antes de empezar a derretirse y creanme que esos minutos extras nos ayudaron muchisimo!

Excellent work. Professional "product photography" if I have ever seen it. These look straight out of a magazine or commercial. You have really progressed so fast since I first met you. Every day you amaze me again.

Yeahh it was actually for the advertising of the shop to tell the clients that they a have a new product , the ice cream!
Beautiful shots of some good ole ice cream. The colored background definitely makes them punch. I need to become friends with someone that owns an ice cream shop. Than again I would be visiting them a lot, haha.
