If you want to feel the length of a day, go hiking. It requires patience and endurance, especially if going a long way. Sometimes time is perceived differently. It feels going faster or slower, but it’s always going at the same pace. It’s what we do that changes the feeling and perception of the time. Our own actions.
Whether we are doing something pleasant or unpleasant, our perspective changes. But it’s not all about perceiving time flying faster when one is enjoying himself or time passing slower when one is not.
In the nature there’s no watch, no time. It’s just being there. We know when the day starts and we see when it ends, because it gets darker. There’s no real perception of minutes or hours, because it’s now, here and now.
Plus if occupied and doing some physical activity, which also requires resilience, we actually feel the length of time, because it requires our own effort. Step by step, further and further. The vastness of a day. It lasts and we can feel it. Not quicker nor slower, but the same. Not rushing anywhere, just taking time.
There’s time. Always. Even if there seems not to be time, there’s always time, while we are still in time to use our time. If our circumstances prevent us from having time, then our choices should change that and allow us to have time.
There’s nothing more precious than having time and feeling it right now, not faster, not slower, but just as it is.
