Greetings everyone, here is the second day of my corsica trip.
Today, we will visit the village of Evisa.
You can find it in the north west moutains of the island and it's a small and beautiful quite village.

It took us almost 3 hours driving to get there. You're gonna ask why came here ?
Well, my step mother used to live there when she was young, and she wanted to find the house she used to lived when she was on the island, many years ago.

And we found it:

This was the time of nostalgy, and childhood memories for her.
We tried to ring if anyone was in the house, maybe a member of her familiy, but the house apperred empty.
Finally, after un good moment, we decided to walk a bit in the village, and I took some more picture :

I was also disappointed because I found a tree full of cherries, but I couldn't reach it:

(God I love cherries !)

After a good walk, we took a break in a bar to have fresh beers, and we had a good chitchat with the owner.
In a small village like that, specially in Corsica everyone know everyone, and it took only a few second to make links and connections between the owner and my step mother's family who used to live there.
She learned that one of her cousin still owner the place but he comes only on holidays in August.
So she decided to write a note for him with her phone number, to retrieve her relationship with him, and after our drink, we went back to the house and leave the note in the mail box.

After that, we finally leaved the place around midday. We had lunch on us, and we just wanted to fun a good nature spot to have this meal.

And we found a wonderful one, it was not easy but it was worth searching.

But that's all for this episode.
Thanks for stop by and reading it.
Tomorrow we will talk about the second half of this day, this famous place we had lunch, and we will go back around the sea for even more beautiful spots and landscapes.

See ya tomorrow.
Mike.
