RE: Sunflower seedlings

I didnt know either but I asked the wife 'what are these?' One day and it turns out we eat the sprouted sunflower seeds a lot in Thailand, as well as the salted seeds in packets!

I just wash the seeds, throw them in a seed tray, water then cover them for three days until they germinate and then put them back in the light but in a place that doesn't get too much direct sunlight. After 7 days, when they have grown and have just two leaves open cut them off at the base of the stem and eat them raw!

Even I quite like them and I'm a chocolate loving, salad dodger ;-)

I didn't know this can be done lol. I used to eat sunflower seeds too, but my favorite is a squash seed. They're just a bit too annoying to eat cos too skinny. :D Thanks for sharing!
