Morning Shots with Devil's Ivy

in Photography Lovers3 years ago
I was expecting a beautiful sunrise. The camera was ready to capture it. Upon opening the curtains, it was a gloomy morning.

It is now summer in the Philippines. Even as early as 6:30 am, the heat of the sun struck already. That's why when you plan to strike a shot for a sunrise, waking up early is a good thing. The sky is clear enough to give way to your lens. And sunrise is one of my favorite things to capture.

I woke up at 5:30 am. I was excited because it is summer, so it is unlikely to rain. But I heard the raindrops fell to the roof. And when I open the curtain, I saw that it was raining. I felt disappointed. At the same time, relieve because it will not be a sunny day. Well, I was hoping. I was also excited because I have this new plant, the Devil's Ivy.

I waited for the rain to stop and it did around 6:25 am. So I opened the window completely to give way for the morning breeze to enter. I also took out the new plant and placed it in the window. I have this fascination when it comes to plants. And living in a city where you can see buildings everywhere, wanted me more to have plants in our place.

Even I was not able to capture the sunrise, having these photos taken that morning made my day.🖤
