A great new look.

The ladies in the water were refurbished with a lovely new green look.

I was out on my usual casual stroll around the water feature, and I noticed some changes that I want to share with you.
The sculptures in the water have become faded, due to the blazing African sun, and now they have a lovely green color that is a bit darker than the surrounding green water. It has a beautiful effect on one's mind as the sculptures in the water have a meditative posture.
But there is also a new set of sculptures that I will show you below.

I don't quite know what the sculptor had in mind with the three gentlemen above, but it looked to me like a person's ageing process.

At first it was the shorter, youthful look of the guy at the right.

Then the guy in the middle entered into adulthood.

And finally, the guy was in the prime of his life.

Now bear me out, as this is only my own idea about the meaning of the sculptures above but rest assured that I will find out who the sculptor was and also the story behind the works.

Just another look at the sculpture in the water on the other side of the pond.

And then this. I took this photo from behind the sculpture.

And this is what it looks like from the front.

Finally, I almost got lucky with a clear photo of the singing Olive Thrush bird on the Lourensford sign board. But the sunlight and the wind bedazzled the shot.

Now I know that some of you are going to ask what the Lourensford ANNO 1700 sign means. I have mentioned before, that it is one of our famous local wine estates, and the ANNO 1700 means the year that it was established. If you are ever in the Somerset West area in the Western Cape province of South Africa, it would be a good idea to put this wine estate on your bucket list. They do not only make and sell a range of top-class wines there, but there are also many other things going on at the farm, such as a nature reserve, cycling trails, the earth box, paddling, art gallery, clay-pigeon shooting, archery, some weekend markets, and also some health treatments, and three restaurants, to just give you an idea about the place.

You will be warmly welcomed at the wine estate, and be prepared to enjoy your visit, as there are some tremendous sights.

These sculptures look fascinating. These are a pure work of art. I like the vibe of this place. If I ever paid a visit to south Africa, I will for sure visit this place. Thanks for sharing this wonderful sight with us. I'm sure they're taking care of these sculptures and art galleries. I'm not much of a wine guy, but I'm sure it must be worth trying 😁 have a great day 😊

Thank you and I can guarantee that you will be mightily impressed with what you see here. There is a constant care in place of all the statues and also the premises, and the estate is world famous.
We are not wine drinkers, so I only go there for coffee and to take photos.
A great day also to you.
