That´s interesting :) I have lived in different places too, from tropical Central America to as far north as Poland and most of the time, my body adapted quite well after some time. Well, except the summer in Mexico with those 40 C real-feel days and 35 C nights, that´s where I struggled pretty bad actually :D
As for Blurt... not really much to say. From what I have observed, it´s where exposed Hive abusers and scammers end up and some of them even seem to "run" that chain so it can never work out well. And yeah, the missing downvote feature is surely a part of it for the exact reasons you mentioned, even though they argue that it actually is a good thing. Ridiculous.
Yeah, Texas is closer in climate to Mexico as you mentioned. Summers can be dreadful... but you get used to it kind of... well, if you grow up in it i suppose.
Thanks for filling me in a bit on Blurt. What you just said is essentially the behind the scenes conversation... but that comment thread was pretty much the public discussion of what private stakeholders have been feeling and discussing for a while.
